welcome back to shitty comic tuesday
my boss has learned that if she doesnt explicitly tell me "dont be too picky about it" or "dont spend too much time on it" or "you dont need to be exact" every single time then she'll come back in like 20 minutes to find me say. counting 500 cards. not a real example or anything. no. (lie)
also sidenote it makes me really happy how much my like. seemingly useless knowledge comes in handy? especially with kids toys- 9 times out of 10 i know what it is, and if not i can figure it out pretty quickly
even with just random objects where everyone else is like "okay what the FUCK is this thing" if they give it to me i can look at it for a minute or so and give you a very accurate guess, or at the very least an idea on what to look up to figure it out
(very helpful for pricing things correctly- because obviously we want things to be cheap, but its part of a charity org, so if we're able to figure out what things that we *can* make more expensive, while still staying cheaper than market price, its really good) (bc yk. resellers. sigh.)
(and then my pattern recognition and detail oriented-ness helps find when things are falling apart or stained ect, and we can mark them down)
