they don’t think you’re too much, they don’t find your excitement embarrassing or off putting. they’re grateful for it! all of it!

your passion, your support, the way you care so openly, even if other people don’t understand it, they do. And it means the world to them

your romantic f/o walks in as you are trying to finish some work at home. maybe it's a research paper you have a deadline for, homework or something related to your job. whatever it is, you know that you have to stay up in order to finish it.

f/o asks if you'll go sleep beside them like every other night, and you tell them that as soon as you finish it, you'll go to bed with them. they still think you should go to sleep as early as possible, but they know you want to complete it for tonight.

then, they say something you weren't expecting:

" i'll wait for you. "

a very simple phrase, but meaningful nonetheless. they sat on a sofa, or chair, as they watched you work.

you tell f/o that if they are so sleepy, they can go to bed first, and that you won't take much before joining them. they seem to bite back a confession of how they can't sleep without you near, and just brush it off with an "i don't mind waiting". you let them be, and focus back on your task.

once you finish it, you stretch your arms and back, glad to know that there is no work for tomorrow. when you look over to f/o, they are peacefully sleeping on their seat. were they so exhausted they couldn't walk to your bedroom? or did they just not want to leave? you gently shake them, telling them that it's you so they don't wake up frightened. their expression still looks sleepy, but they stand up and place an arm over your shoulder as you guide both of you to your bed.

now, you and f/o can rest well without any worries for tomorrow ♡

imagine your f/o learning to trust you. seeing their face and body relax around you because they know they can come to you for anything in any state. showing them that it’s okay to let their guard down around you, to let you see them for who they really are. your endless love and patience for them softens them over time, and they couldn’t be more grateful for you.

Your f/o would 100% confront the person who hurt you. They’ll handle it in their own way, making sure you’re safe and taken care of in the process. Even if that means using a bit of reasoning to back up their actions

F/o kissing away any tears and curl up beside you and listen to you talk about any worries or thoughts of the past - always there to lend an ear and reassure you that you are worth it.

F/o getting up to sit beside you when the nights seem to quiet and the memories start to burn. Rubbing your back and ushering you back to bed or laying you down on the couch. Whichever brings more comfort. Whichever they know you need.

F/o making sure you’re comfortable and resting well, helping to make sure you’re eating and helping you with any tasks that may seem too difficult. No matter the ask, they’re just happy you can rely on them in such times of need.
