i've been doing more tv interviews lately because i am an authority figure and things are happening in the area in which i work. i of course watch every one of them - fascinating how the media sausage gets made and i'm getting better at predicting which half-sentences they'll use from a 15 minute interview - and i was expecting to worry about my appearance.

i got reading glasses, which prompted a lot of thoughts about the passage of time and the temporality of the physical form, etc.

we recently got a DVD player so we could check movies and shows out from the library because streaming is so deeply annoying and discovered that DVD players cost about $25 now!
