The iconic chaotic Shinsengumi brother duo seemed to be a good choice for the theme today. When they’re not harrassing the other captains maybe Itou likes to braid Miki’s hair lol

Shinsengumay Day 10: Cats Around The Compound OwO

What came to mind for today’s theme was Saito’s leaving of the Shinsengumi to join the Guardians of the Imperial Tomb as a spy. He had to temporarily give up the snazzy haori, but he sure did pull a sneaky on Itou lol

Who better fits the theme of ‘beliefs’ than a member of the Shinsengumi who held such different ones from the rest of the group? (That’s my excuse for wanting to draw Itou. Like, he’s garbage, but beautiful garbage, ya know?)

I just did a little somethin’ light and fun for today, which is Shinsengumay Day 5, Celebrations. It’s Hijikata’s birthday (according to the Japanese calendar), and coincidentally, it’s my birthday too! So yeah, good times. 

Today’s Shinsengumay theme is Sakura! I thought about it and realized that usually Hijikata is the one pictured with sakura, so Heisuke should have a turn too haha

So I just decided to do a quick sketch for today. The theme is childhood, which got me thinking about how Saitō accidentally killed a hatamoto when he was young (so they say). I wanted to imagine a bit of his quiet grief...
