Shining Beauty ⚡

“Oh?” 

Her lips showed a hint of an amused smile at the sight of the young man standing in her dressing room. Now, this was a person she hadn’t expected to meet again. Especially not since the last time they met, she was out to stop him and his fellow team Plasma members. The two stylists shared a worried glance with each other, now realizing who this visitor was. 

“It seems I have company. Would you two be so kind as to take a little break while we have a chat?” Elesa sent them away politely, though the usher stayed.  “I think thirty minutes should be enough, but if we need more time, I’ll let you two know.” She called out to them as they left the dressing room, still rather confused. 

The commotion caused Momo, her Emolga, to peek out from his little tent in the corner of the room. Yes, he, too, had a dressing room, albeit in the form of a little Pokémon tent. The Pokémon let out an angry chitter at N (What are YOU doing here, Bush Man? Get lost!), before flying over to sit on the vanity near his trainer, giving N the stink eye. 

“So...” Elesa started, crossing a leg over the other, a few extensions still dangling from her scalp. 

One by one the game show host (who was dressed... Questionably, but appropriately enough for this kind of show) picked out more and more contestants, the last one ending up as her beloved partner on this adventure. 

Elesa extended a well-manicured hand as a greeting, smiling at the other. 

“It’s nice to meet you, Harley. My name is Elesa, as the fine gentleman said just now.” She gave Harley a wink, grinning ever so slightly.

“I’m sure we can! Let’s do our very best to win that prize, huh partner?”

At the mention of a partner, an Emolga popped out his head from the model’s vest she was wearing, chattering excitedly. Elesa’s eyes flew down for a second, before moving back up at Harley again.

“I wonder what’s in store for us! Should we think of a team name?”

Elesa excitedly mused, already trying to think of a pun she could slip into a fitting team name. 

“Where are you from, if I may ask? Or maybe you have a favourite hobby? Or food? Or maybe Pokémon type?”

All of those were good bridges to the forming of a fitting team name, right? Momo, Elesa’s Emolga, had a different opinion, however.

The Electric-type chattered some more, this time angrily and in Harley’s direction. Elesa just chuckled, shrugging a little. 

“Sorry, little guy, but technically you’re not involved in this game show yet.” 

That only fueled the electric fire, and he huffed and puffed before spewing what was most likely some harsh insults in chitters in the male’s direction, before popping back into the puffy vest. 

Elesa smiled apologetically at Harley, before giggling.
