⤷ No! I do write fanfics and I love sharing them, but this is, first and foremost, a personal blog for my own enjoyment - and while a large portion of it happens to be Attack on Titan, other fandoms do show up, and, moreover, I sometimes write about my personal feelings and experiences with mental health and trauma on here, because the only person this blog is for is me. I didn’t make it to provide other people with a good time. You need to respect that and I’ll do the same for you.
｠I don't like your fandom opinions :c It’s so mean that you said you thought that thing about that one part, and the other thing, about that guy. Let’s fight about why you’re wrong, or, I’ll just explain to you why you’re wrong.
⤷ Hard pass! I’ve been in online fan spaces for a very, very long time. I got my ‘bristling because someone says my fave is dumb and my ship is wrong’ energy out in my early 20s, and I have less than zero desire to engage in petty fandom shit now. The whole point of this is to have fun. If you make it cease to be fun, I will mostly just refuse to engage with you. That said, if you're being a bully to people in my orbit and/or line of sight for any reason, I'll call you out on it.
｠I don't like topics you post about :c So annoying, I want you to stop posting about them. I’m gonna tell you why it’s so important to think about how I feel about your posts.
⤷ Don’t! It's up to you to decide to read things you want to and to not read things you don't. And just to be really clear, I do not tolerate people being out of line on anonymous for any reason. That’s a hard boundary, and I will be mean about it. If you think you have a legitimate reason to start criticizing me or what I post, have the decency to DM me and we can talk about it like adults instead of like internet trolls. But first, ask yourself carefully if this is really something you need to spend time making a total stranger feel bad about posting on their own blog that you’re following for free and by choice. Chances are it’s not.
｠You use a lot of words and formatting choices that are evocative of strong feelings, and perhaps even suggestive that you may be FEELING strong feelings. Are you going completely insane, and burdening me with your insane feelings? Or maybe viciously attacking me in a blind fury?
⤷ Highly unlikely! I’m a wordy person because I love the range of the English language, and yes, I do put my feelings into my writing style even when it’s casual or informative, but a lot of what I say is genuinely not that fucking serious, especially when it comes to fandom. If I am trying to pick a fight with you it’ll be obvious I promise 😂
｠Can I drop in just to say hi or talk about fandom stuff?
⤷ YES! Despite my growing lack of patience with Tumblr-style bullshit, I’m actually a very shy but friendly person who’s here to have fun and be creative and enjoy seeing other people be creative. I love chatting with people once we establish a bit of mutual comfort, and I know how isolating tumblr can be, so please don’t be scared to reach out.
Also, since I reblog a lot of pictures, if you have a phobia or trigger you need to me to tag, like lizards or bugs or the Greedy taffy monster from the Raggedy Anne and Andy movie, please tell me, because I often forget to tag things. I’m not looking to jump scare anyone, I swear. Just don’t be a dick.
The real point is that this is one teeny, tiny, ridiculously small place I have carved out as a space for myself to sprawl out more than I safely can anywhere else, and I’m going to defend it. If you’re respectful of that, we’ll probably get along.
