lips curve into a smirk behind her mask  ;  she’s not wrong . but there’s a hint of concern in a cocked eyebrow .  “  and sin is just another man to you  ?  ”  even if she treated him like just another weapon , akali had grown partial to her occasional companion . it wouldn’t do well to let this stranger send him to die at her hands  --  if anything , she’d found sin first , so he was hers to do with as she pleased .

“  i’m afraid you’ll have to find a new one , that one’s claimed .  ”

it begs the question as to how much she’s willing to let go of just to hold onto him  --  he’s useful , at least that much is clear . but beyond that  ?  does she truly care for him  ?  eyebrows furrow as she once again sizes up the stranger , noting their overall demeanour as someone who didn’t simply back down . 

“  unless you’d like to pay for him , of course . then... you’re welcome to do whatever you want with him . he won’t be missed .  ”

part of her is thankful he’s not around to hear the harsh words  --  perhaps there is a shred of guilt within her . still , if anything it is simply better to be rid of anyone that can get in her way . the moment she starts caring for others is the moment she loses sight on who she truly is . akali exhales deeply , expelling the qualms and tightening her lips with a confident grin .
