            𝙎𝙏𝙍𝙀𝙉𝙂𝙏𝙃 𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙀𝙎 𝙄𝙉 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙆𝙉𝙊𝙒𝙇𝙀𝘿𝙂𝙀 𝙃𝙀 𝙄𝙎 𝙉𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍 𝘼𝘽𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙊𝙉𝙀𝘿 ,     even   standing   in   humanities   form  ,    he   has   family   brimming   in   the   corners   of   his   mind  .     he   feels   them   even   here  ,    knows   even   the   slightest   change   would   bring   them   to   his   side   — —     were   they   not   already   on   their   way  .     the  pack   is   the   thrumming   life  ,    beating   through    his   veins  ,    a   chorus   of   ancestors   who   have   led   them   here  .     the wolf is not the wolf alone , but his strength is both him and pack , a matter not often understood .      how   easy   to   overlook   other   monsters  ,    to   see   them   lesser   and   their   ways   forgotten  ;    they   are   a   species   born   to   fight   against   a   cold  ,    red   gaze  . 

            shoulders   square   and   height   seems   bigger  ,    though   caution   is   best   exercised  ;    the   wolf   has   never   been   known   to   begin   fights   where   they   are   not   needed  .    he   stands   and   studies  ,    decides   best   courses   and   steady   thoughts  .      there   is   still   a   measure   to   wildness   as   it   blooms   through   him  .     WE ARE THE SONS OF MEN WHO DID NOT COWER , WOLF WARRIORS , A BURNING LEGACY MOVING THROUGH OUR VEINS . WE ARE UNAFRAID .     this   chorus   singing  ,    still   memories   of   their   thoughts   in   his   mind  . 

            𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘿𝙀𝙀𝙋 - 𝙍𝙀𝘿 𝙃𝙐𝙀 𝙊𝙁 𝙃𝙀𝙍 𝙀𝙔𝙀𝙎 𝙃𝘼𝙎 𝙉𝙊𝙏 𝙁𝘼𝘿𝙀𝘿 ,    stare   back   at   him   as   a   haunting   on   a   childlike   face  ,    despite   the   actions   she   has   taken   to   follow   the   cullen’s   way  .      the   doctor   claims   that   they   will   begin   to   see   changes   when   the   year   is   up  ,     but   still   they   leave   a   soured   taste   in   his   mouth   as   he   battles   nature   and   learns   to   remember   that   she   did   not   choose   this   life  .      WHAT BEING WOULD CHOOSE A KILLER’S ROUTE ? EVEN HE , THOUGH NAMED PROTECTOR , WOULD HAND BACK THE GIFTS OF HIS ANCESTORS IF HE MIGHT .        they   are   both   born   in   legacy  ,    both   war - torn   before   their   time  .     despite   the   eyes  ,     despite   the   sickly   sweet   scent   that   burns   his   nostrils  ;     she   is   still   a   child  .    

               perhaps   this   is   why   he   has   taken   some   interest   in   her  ,     why   he   stepped   in   to   angry   voices   to   defend   the   terrified   way   she   gazed   at   them  ;     if   they   are   protectors  ,    then   surely   this   applies   to   all   creatures   who   need   to   be   saved  .      foolish  ,     perhaps  ,     to   consider   that   alliances   will   go   this   deep  .     the boy has always had a heart too wide , hidden back behind melancholy eyes ; a burning love for those broken things .      he   sits   by   her   side   with   hands   faced   upwards  ,    defenseless   seeming  ,     despite   the   ease   with   which   bones   could   become   something   monstrous  . 

            𝘾𝘼𝙐𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙄𝙎 𝙒𝙊𝙍𝙉 𝙏𝙃𝙄𝘾𝙆 𝙒𝙄𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙉 𝘿𝙀𝙀𝙋 𝙀𝙔𝙀𝙎 ,      the   words   she   speaks   standing   stagnant   in   the   deafening   silence   of   the   room  ,     almost   a   dare   on   her   lips  .      if   alliances   are   to   be   formed  ,     then   they   must   begin   only   with   a   raw   honesty  ,     must   forget   the   desire   to   hold   secrets   and   protect   their   own   kind  ,     for   the   good   of   all   ,   not   few  .      but   he   has   seen   the   results   of   control   lost   too   close  ,    has   faced   scars   in   alpha’s   mind   and   knows   that   their   condition   must   be   contained  :      CAN HE , THEN ?      she   asks   a   question   he   does   not   know   he   is   prepared   to   answer  ,     a   gift   he   does   not   know   he   should   give  .     what   would   they   do   if   he   lost   control  ,      what   could   be   lost   with   such   an   offence   landed   upon   them  ?

                  concern   laces   through   his   gaze  ,     a   deepening   of   coffee - hues   as   consideration   continues  .      would   he   be   wise   to   give   such   matters  ?       would   he   be   wise   not   to   when   alliances   are   such   a   fragile   matter   and   he   has   been   given   so   much   of   this   place  ?      eyes   follow   out   through   windowpanes  ;      no one could think that the boy hasn’t considered all angles , hasn’t thought endlessly about the possibilities that could arise from this matter .      who   would   want   to   see   the   wolf  ?     who   would   want   to   stare   into   the   eyes   of   the   beast   that   lives   inside   him  ?     he   doesn’t   have   to   say   yes  ,     but   to   forbid   the   action   would   be   to   shut   down   matters  ,     and   curiosity   burns   deep   within   about   this   world   he   has   stumbled   ‘pon  .      wiser   then  ,    to   entertain   matters  :      THIS WOULD BE ON HIS TERMS . 

a sigh of agitation,  eyes growing impatient with the whole situation.  ❛ don’t you boys have something else to do with your time?  ❜  he knows he does.  he would rather be SITTING on his couch watching the latest playoffs but he still had another four hours to go on his shift before going forth with such indulgences. ❛ y’know,  PRANK CALLING could be seen as a federal offense & that still applies to minors. ❜  

𝙃𝙊𝙒 𝙏𝙊 𝙀𝙓𝙋𝙇𝘼𝙄𝙉 𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙄𝙍 𝙇𝘼𝘾𝙆 𝙊𝙁 𝙄𝙉𝙑𝙊𝙇𝙑𝙀𝙈𝙀𝙉𝙏 ,     without  ,    of   course  ,     stating   the   why   of   matters  .     the   elders   know  ,     and   so   often   bring   the   pack   out   of   trouble  ,     but   the   elders   are   not   here   now  .      his   lips   turn   to   appealing   smiles  ,     tries   to   ensure   that   they   are   seen    well  .           ❝   sorry sir  ,     but   that   wasn’t   us  .     we’d   be   happy   to   ask   around   if   you’re   looking   though   .  ❞
