Random Ramblings

Hello everyone! I’ve returned (for like the umpteenth time) from the land of chaotic living! And man, man-oh-man, I miss being here. I miss Skylar, I miss the silly things she somehow gets into; I miss all of you. To those who’ve stuck around this past rocky year or so: thank you. I promised never to forget this blog, and I’m going to do my best to stick to it. 

So, I’m going to try this all again! Start fresh(ish) and see if I can actually stick around for more than like... a day.

There was silence in the air after Luna spoke - Skylar stone still and mid-walk with her back toward the queen. She was just leaving the kitchen, her mind clouded and jumbled with work and thoughts; unable to pay close attention to anything. The shifter didn't move for almost a minute, only her shoulders rising and falling as the world slowed down around her.

Slowly, she turned around, death gripping a coffee mug so hard her knuckles had gone white. Her mouth was agape, her eyes wide as saucers, and her eyes almost to the brim of tears. She was speechless - the queen, her queen, was back - finally, truly back.

… Oh.

Oh, I’ve been gone a long time, haven’t I? A really, really long time. It’s a good thing my blog isn’t a plant, because it’d be crunchy and very much dead (much like it is right now! Aha, I crack myself up sometimes...).

But, hey! That’s okay! Because, this time, for real this time, I’m going to stick around! Hopefully for longer than a day, before I run off for a month. Work, vacations, you know how it is.

So, here’s to a fresh start (again!) and some actual time here! I’ve missed you all dearly - I’m sorry I’m such a slacker! Much love, always!
