I did some peeking around yesterday using Petfinder for a Shiba and I did find some kinda close to me. I live in a fairly rural area and I didn't expect much. I hope that'll change! And I adore sled dogs as well, they're wonderful dogs.

That's for the advice! Whenever I have the place for a shiba, I'm definitely going to look into that! :)

No, I haven't answered it! Shiba Inus aren't the cheapest dogs to buy, with the puppies I've found averaging $600-800 per pup. I could easily save up to get one, but I want to only adopt dogs out of shelters. So while I love Shiba Inus, I would much rather give neglected dogs a chance at a good home! If only I could find a Shiba Inu in a shelter, I'd be set! :)
