She was an assignment for this drawing course program I took, that was run specifically for helping highschool students "practice" on making a portfolio for art college entry exams (also that traditional piece is made with coffee and chinese ink!)

For obvious reasons other than the fact that I am a slow drawer, I havent been drawing my OCs at all lately, but these 4 are the main ones I usually draw and the ones you'll most likely to see me post in this blog if I'm not posting cookies,,,,,,,
From left to right, their names are Rowena, Jonathan, Richard, and Percival (they have last names too but it dont matter rn). Rowena and Jonathan are adoptive siblings and Richard and Percival are each other's spouses 🔥 (also idk if Percival's face is distinct enough from the other 3 but he is a house cat!!! not canine!!!! same face syndrome is beating my ass 💔).
For the sake of clarity, I will mention that they all belong to the same universe—a personal unofficial project of mine I named "Atlas" :]
Jonathan and Percival's story themes are about loss and grief and overcoming one's inner demons and societal expectations, whereas Rowena's and Richard's themes are about alienation—both themes are lowk tied to the asexual and aromantic experiences since all 4 of them are either ace, aro, or both + Rowena and Jonathan are conventionally attractive in-universe and has faced peer pressure to be in a relationship when neither of them wants one (for Rowena, her whole thing is the inverse of the unrequited love trope or the "unrequited friendship" while Jonathan gets thrown straight into patriarchy and toxic masculinity lmfao 💔), while Richard and Percival just does their own thing with their relationship, not caring about how a "proper" relationship should look like or be like while trying to navigate a world that is kind of obsessed with the idea...... These 4 are my most important characters to me personally, I love writing them as much as i love drawing them 🫶🫶

VV If you checked my "shey's ocs" tags and saw these 4 guys—they are relatively new since I only made them for my comic class assignment (so new I havent settled on a name for them yet 😭) but the white haired girlie is Leslie!
This comic project is not her "home universe", she came from another unofficial project of mine, on an aviation-centered story universe that I named "Paper Skies" and she was a former US Air Force lieutenant who now works as a commercial pilot in 1960s-1970s USA, but her character in both this comic and Paper Skies are the same and that her main theme is about perseverance and love^^ (she's also aroace and a self proclaimed tomboy in both stories 🔥)
**(short tangent for the aroace and love part, she's also romance repulsed. She hates the idea of someone suddenly becoming more important to her just because they're ""supposed"" to be more important "in concept" alone, so important that it preceeds her lifelong friends and family. she's either poly or no romance, all or nothing, everyone in her life is equally important to her and she would do anything for them, and she will beat your ass if you tell her her hypothetical romantic partner is more important than her friends, she's past talking when it comes to personal matters 🥀)
The rabbit's story is about alienation from the world and from his own kin, the lizard's story is about being aimless in life, and the human guy's story is about those two things (especially after he was unceremoniously fired from his corporate job lmfao) and unlearning prejudice that was instilled on him through false narratives. There'll be more cast to this weird ass group and also other factions and all, but yes it's basically one big strange (/pos) found family lmao
They're mostly beefing right now since the comic (which is only the prologue) is when they first encounter one another, but they'll get along eventually 🙏 (bonus Espresso Cookie in the wild)
Anyways that's all of my most relevant characters to me right now i hope it's enough to answer your ask 🥹 there's way more characters of course (and way more stories too 💔🥀) but these are either my most fleshed out concepts that I've also drawn a bunch before, or my most important characters ever to me personally 💛 i'll absolutely post more of them here if people are interested in seeing their stories, and maybe one day i'll officially publish them in a personal comic project or something!!!!

The only context yall are getting for this drawing is that i made cookies and OCs in tomolife and Clotted Cream caught feelings so so so many times (i stopped counting past 7 😭) and 6 of those crushes are for the same 3 people—my furry son included 😔 (Light Cream was jogging when she collided w her own son and it sent him flying straight into his arms 💔🥀 the first time Clotted Cream has a crush on him, he just collided straight w him 🥀)

The cookie odyssey was great but I will never not be confused as to where Strawberry and Wizard cookie were. Where did they go ??? If it was a meeting that was incredibly important why did devsis just leave them out<\3 (I may be biased towards strawberry cookie but I honestly don’t think strawberry or wizard cookie gets enough love and attention, like, strawberry cookie saw a witch eat a cookie??? oh my god yeah 😭😭 i wouldnt mind Strawberry and Wizard not coming along to the Republic (mostly because of the "gacha game w a massive cast" issue, so i'd rather they keep the casts small so the main story doesnt lose focus of the narrative and ruin the pace in the process) but like they don't even show up in chapter 1 at all 🥀🥀 where were they, why are they not in the Vanilla Kingdom during a big important day,,,,,,
also yeah 😭😭😭😭 i feel like some of her traits are there because of her witch-related trauma ( /pos btw like there's so much to explore there, i feel) but MANNN if the Super Epic and Epic cookies are already this neglected by devsisters, i cant imagine what the fans of the Rare and Common cookies are going through ngl 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I think clotted cream probably has some form of religious trauma due to the saint pastry order being so prevalent in the crème republic along with being basically a cult
also missed opportunity to actually give clotted cream character development since DEC turned into a witch and he could’ve very much had a crisis of faith from that (along with menthol cookie and seltzer cookie)
Clotted Cream having religious trauma would be a cool concept to explore actually, even if i dont personally see him as being religious 😭 (to be fair they barely touched on the religion aspect of the Créme Republic ngl—like i guess they explored on the cult further outside of the Republic but what about the Celestial Light 🥀) but honestly a crisis of faith would be very fitting for the themes of Arc 1's story and it doesn't have to be faith in religion/God—it could also be faith in your resolve and mission, in your friends, and also in yourself 💛
I do think that Light Cream would be religious tho, even if it's just as something for her to cling on to some hope for—hope that she did the right thing, that she could one day meet her son again, and that he doesn't resent her for what she did and didn't do for him 🥀

I think clotted cream and dark choco have a lot of parallels and could be used for an interesting theme if dark choco and clotted cream were actually acknowledged more, I think he could also have a lot of parallels with royal berry cookie (forced in to spotlight at young age, from important family, neglectful parent just in different ways) can anyone hear me
You're so right actually 😭😭😭 it's genuinely crazy to me how some of the non Legendary+ cookies would have the most compelling lore written for them yet they get soooo underutilized 💔💔💔 the potential for exploring themes of abandonment and being alone and lost when you're still so young is there 🪦🥀 (which would be rlly interesting w those 3 characters cause they have different opinions about their respective neglectful parents, im sure. Royal Berry seems like he still loves and cares for Hollyberry despite her never really being present in his or his family's lifes, and Dark Choco's a bit more complicated since he's also manipulated by Pomegranate too lowk but he doesn't completely love nor resent Dark Cacao, i feel...... and then there's Clotted Cream 😔)
since clotted cream cookie has been forgotten by devsis I think he should get adopted by all the ancients and have costumes based off them, as a treat
They all came together every once in a while and everyone would just assume it's an important political meeting pertaining to their respective kingdoms or whatever—whole time it's just tea time or some shit 💛 (feel like they'd still manage to turn the tea time political but it'll definitely be more chill than Clotted Cream's first encounter w 3 of the ancients, im just saying🚶♂️🔥)
Also the costume thing would be so cool actually!! Idk about other people or other countries for that matter, but we would sometimes sell or gift our culture's traditional garments or fabrics to anyone who'd pay us a visit—partly because we actually still actively make them and wear them to this day, they're still an integral part of our modern everyday life :]
^ the regional costume would lowkey satisfy my nostalgia for Cookie Run Kingdom before Beast Yeast, cause one of my favorite aspects about old CRK is visiting different places and learning about their cultures and customs, on top of the characters who lives there and what they do or who they are to their homeland (another reason why Créme Republic is peak to me cause not only that but you're also learning about its issues and its people's struggles and all 🥀 i feel like it's old CRK at its most complex with the most depth because of it,,,,, which i miss dearly,,,,,,,, maybe im just missing the Republic sm rn but i also absolutely will not be against more kingdom-centric content even if it's not the Créme Republic 🧍♂️🙏)
