Behind A Stained Glass

I love Attack On Titan  but as i was watching it i was made privy to the bigger picture that i feel that the series is trying to show us.

The Three Walls

in AOT there are three walls that serve as protection from the titans. Those walls are Maria, Rose and Sina.  These walls to me are a very accurate representation of how our society is built up. They represent ( to me) our class system.  ( Lower, Middle, and Upper class)  Obviously we can break through those walls but its hard to, also when we do break through those walls the inhabitants of the inner workings of our class system arent normally too happy to share the wealth. 

The Titans 

Well guys you cant  have those three walls without the titans. The titans in our society are a mixture of our government and the politicians who survive off our suffering. In our world  because we don’t have royalty and because these bastards in our govt are greedy hungry motherfuckers they are a cross between the false royalty and the monsters that would nothing more than to devour us heart and soul. They don’t care about the little guy, they just give a fuck about themselves and have no problem crushing us under their gigantic feet.

Now here comes the interesting part because i know many people who are reading this are probably asking themselves “ Well Mike where do we fit in?” and to this i say dont worry about that this is the interesting part.  ( Nah seriously you’re gonna love this ) 

The Military ( Survey Corps)

Yes all of us in this era are soldiers, it is our job to break those walls no matter how tough the odds are.  We are fighters every single one of us, if you wake up and you march in this world then you’re fighting. We fight at risk of death and insanity and sometimes its too much for us to handle but even then we still walk on with the wings of freedom on our backs. We deal with monsters every single day in the form of  war, racism, financial struggle and spiritual turmoil. So Rejoice, you are strong, you’re a warrior and you’ll make it.
