The boy had no clue what was about to happen when he recruited as a deckhand to the captain’s boat.

Day by day it became more clear that the captain had a strong control over his autonomy. His shift at the boat started at dusk and he had to have his raingear on at all times when the captain was around. He wouldn’t tolerate bad behavior and boy got smacked multiple times until he realized to not make mistakes.

First he was staying at the barracks near the dock with the other deckhands, but soon captain moved him to his house where his work shift lasted until he fell asleep at night. He had to change his dirty raingear for clean ones when he was at his apartment and do all the cleaning, cooking and other household chores with his thick gear on. He was so exhausted after working from morning till evening, but he didn’t dare to complain as he was afraid of captain’s erratic mood shifts.

One evening captain ordered the boy to come to the living room and kneel before him. He took a metallic collar and attached to his neck and declared that he was finally captain’s property. At that point boy realized that captain had been training him for this position for months and he knew that he was ready. Captain directed his finger towards his rubber boots and boy started to lick their surface instinctively. He had finally found his purpose in life and it was to serve this man.
