A few years ago I celebrated my 25th anniversary of DJing. That same year I was asked to do a set at Brooklyn's venerable Musicland. The space had been growing in the underground world, and the DJs / selectors were some of my absolute heroes, so I was excited to play the space. Things started at 11PM and eventually broke daylight, going until somewhere between 7-8AM. At the end of it I realized I had only gone through a single crate of records, with 2 more full crates left untouched. Doing quick / rough math, and still feeling energized, I felt I could easily keep going and immediately set out to try for a marathon 25 hour set to celebrate the milestone.
I eventually found a location that would let me use the space and set a date, but life got in the way and never made the 25 hour party a reality.
From that idea, I still wanted to celebrate in some way and came up with recording an hour long mix every day for 25 days. They lived exclusively on Toshi's Dailysession.com up until very recently, but the site seems to be in some sort of dormancy, and I'm now finally posting them on my page for the first time in a slightly modified format. I've compiled them into 5 x 5 mixes; 5 hours per mix broken into 5 sections.

I'm not entirely sure where all that time came and went, but I am happy to say that through all the waves of new faces coming and going I am still excited to share these moments with people on the dance floor.
