No matter what happens here

                                                                                         It wasn’t even a lie.           All too often, a ‘welcome back, Allison’ consisted of a lot more gunfire.

     "Sorry, I was convinced all of that was kind of a weird fever dream."

"I won't say a word, but, really, you should stop making yourself an easy target with the whole calibrating thing."

"Come on, Commander. Can you really see me needing another gun? I’m happy with the ones I have."

"Not even a weapon mod? No? Mister, 'I can talk weapon optimization all night?'"

"My mom is my boss, so yeah. She’s already a little annoyed with me staying on the Citadel every so often; I wouldn’t want to see her reaction if I just outright quit."

"Your mom is your boss? That can't be too fun... Well, actually, I'm sure there are some benefits, but..."

“Reattach the s…" His voice trails off and his eyes narrow as he realizes what’s actually going on here. "M-Maybe you should go and I’ll come later—come up there later." With a nervous chuckle, he swallows the lump in his throat and then adds, "Yeah.”

She blinks for a moment, a blank expression covering her face. "Wait..." It takes a moment, but then, suddenly, like ramming into a brick wall... "O... Oh!" Her fair skin reddens quickly, and she lets out an awkward chuckle. "I, ah, I can help you with that, too..."

So uh, my girlfriend theleastwecandoisscreaminfright told me to do femshep for a closet cosplay and I kinda… Became actual femshep. Oops.

"Only a little dense?"

"Now you’re just getting me and Garrus mixed up."

"You can't possibly tell me there isn't a single gun out there that you wouldn't want to buy."

"You got lucky with that. And good that you don’t have regrets about it, even with all this shit going on. Sometimes I think it wouldn’t be a bad idea to try and get out of mercenary work, but I have no idea what else I could do. And my mother would have a conniption."

"Your mom would... Disapprove of you getting out of merc work? Really?"

"I’m getting there."

"What would make you happier? Aspirin? A new rifle?"

"Come on, Shepard. Even you have to admit it’s funny."

"A little bit. There, happy?"

He has to stiffen to hide the shiver that her words triggers, but manages. “Oh. Then…be my guest.”

She grins, hands sliding down the shaft of his rifle. "You know, you should probably apply some more oil before you reattach the sight. Don't want the thing to squeak in battle."

"Yeah, I can’t really blame you. Gang life doesn’t reflect well on people, especially on someone of your status. And it’s definitely not pleasant, and this is comin’ from someone who enjoys bein’ in that sorta life. Did you go from that right to the Alliance?”

"Living on the streets was... Less than ideal, but, at the time, I didn't think there'd be another place for me in the galaxy... Until Anderson picked me up off of my ass and convinced me to join up. Needless to say, it was the best decision I ever made."
