Arthur Takes a Walk.

So my friends and I were walking down the street in Harvard Square to get some Dunkin Donuts, and Arthur just starting walking like this, and he thought we were all still with him but we had to stop laughing so hard and we laughed even harder because there was an old man in a fancy peacoat walking right behind Arthur and he was trying so hard not to laugh and Arthur turned around to smile at us but he smiled at the old man instead and the old man just gave him a big grin and kept on walking and I think Arthur died a little inside from embarrassment. 

We kept asking him to do the walk again and died laughing every time, and then we started singing “Take a Walk” by Passion Pit. So then this happened. Definitely the best video I have ever had the pleasure to create.

Literally, if I’m ever sad or stressed or freaking out about something, I’m just gonna watch this. I’m gonna put it on my iPod. This is my new Prozac.

When we’re still in the midst of crisis, we’re often too overloaded and physically/emotionally unsafe to really feel or process anything. So for most of us, everything gets pushed down/repressed/dissociated until later, when we’re safe and supported. The threshold of safety at which processing begins to occur varies from person to person. And the mental calculations used to determine “safety” usually happen on an unconscious level. Very few of us have the conscious thought “I’m safe now, so I can process what happened to me.” Instead, the subconscious realizes some level of safety has been achieved, and so it just dumps a load of suppressed stuff.

O crap, I’ve made a mistake 19th July. Sorry😞😭

I just saw the news a bit ago when I woke up this morning and I’ve been in a complete state of shock since. I keep hoping this isn’t real but I know it is, and this is absolutely heartbreaking that someone who was such a bright, wonderful, and inspirational figure to so many was taken over something so senseless. 

Evgenia: “It was only two years ago. Denis seemed to be the funniest, extraordinary and one of the most creative people in the figure skating world. I can’t believe this. I don’t want to and I can’t believe this. Condolences to everyone close to Denis. I will never forger his laughter”

Brian Orser: “We are saddened by the tragic news of Denis Ten. The skating community has lost a beautiful skater. Our thoughts are with his family. Your passion will live on. Yuzuru, Jason, Javier, Gabrielle, Evgenia and all team cricket.”

Today the Sochi Olympics 2014 bronze medalist Denis Ten died in a hospital in Almaty because of a stab wound. Denis suffered a significant blood loss and died three hours after being admitted. Denis turned 25 on June 13th. Rest in piece, Denis.
