illboundâ:
â â° â ⎠⽠To say there were NO people would be a gross misinformation of Fantasia. In fact, there were a great deal of both human and inhuman beings littered around. All one really had to do was be willing enough to look.
Patrol was never⌠Exciting. It had become second nature to trace treads from the Summit in the desolate North peaks to the shores of the badlands cast away to the Southern borders. There, one says creatures long extinct have been spotted; dinosaurs and other likened species. That, and any other information, remained locked up between eye and mind of the sigil guardian who made her steadfast errands from dawn till dusk.Â
Over. And over⌠⌠And overâŚ
Luckily, she had company. A foreign-born lad whoâd acquired a strange taste for the unknown and vowed fealty at the expense of paying back a life-debt. One, Vivace could assume, would never be paid in full. A price like that is too steep these days what with the darkness of common man running amuck.
âWell if you are so bored,â Figaro was bantering over her shoulder, âWhy not talk to the people? The creatures? The flora?â He seemed exasperated. Though, not so much exhausted with all the wanderlust.
The errant knight merely continued on her meticulous way, eyes forward, shoulders pulled, chin reigned highâ
âPlease donât act like âm not hereâŚâ He muttered, quickening stride to match her long, powerful gait. âYou do it all the time.â
Finally her expression of stone cracks to permit a smile, âEver pause to wonder why?â
He stops, raising a hand to offer a retort⌠And finds himself rendered speechless.
âIf you are so keen to interact with the average person,â Vivace continues, leaving him many paces behind. âAsk that man there whereabouts he is from. He is not familiar and looks lost.âÂ
Figaro adjusted his posture, all but jogging beyond his handler and up to the stranger in their midst as she watches quietly from afar. Blowing his plume-like hair from his face he radiantly smiles and tilts his chin low. Vivace snorts. âSir,â Heâll never get used to being formal. âAre you heading somewhere? You look a bitâŚâ He peers up, quirking a pale brow. â⌠Confused? Have you been to Fantasia before?â
Yes, he was used to nature being alive, though they tended to just be monsters he either avoided or fought. The Blue Planet wasnât like this one, though; it left him puzzled, and he needed to take a few moments to realize that he was, apparently, close enough to a town for there to be others.
âMe?â he asked. He glanced over the manâs shoulder at the woman whoâd opted to stay out of the conversation for now.  âAh, is that what this place is called? Iâm afraid I am quite lost. I was wondering if, perhaps, my friends had made it here as well. Though Iâve failed to see them as yet.â
