❛         why   WOULDN’T   I   ?     ❜     

『    ☆   』 •ೋ     Twirling   a   penknife   in   his    fingers ;  he   scoffs   with   clear   agitation.   she   was   going   to   ask   him   this   of   all   things   ?   if   he   could   be   frank   he   had   every   reason   to   hate   gideon ,  but   it   was   a   lot   more  a   case  of   she   didn’t   love   him   anyways ;  why   keep   him   around   if   it   just   ended   up   the   same   every   single   time   ?   she   just  took   pleasure   in   annoying   him   with   h er   boy   toys ;  &   flaunting   them   as   if    they   were   jewelry.   he   hated   it.

𝐢𝐦  𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠  𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞   𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞  𝐣𝐬𝐣𝐬  /   𝐧.𝐚.

❛     i   thought   this   was   obvious   enough.      ❜  

ೋ•『    ☆   』 •ೋ   He   rolls   his   eyes ;   having   to   hold   back   a   lot   more   irritation   than   he   shows.   when   he   cares   about   people   he   makes   it   clear   to   them   in   a   way   that’s   much   stronger   than   words   could   convey.   words   could   be   broken ,  bent  ,   lied   about.   actions   could   not   be   questioned   in   their   sincerity ;  at least   not   the   sheer   lengths   he   would   go   through   to   help   his   sister.   

ೋ•『    ☆   』 •ೋ   Mabel   was   one   of   the   prime   reasons   he   just   didn’t   fade   away   into   the   nothingness   of   pure   misery   at   the   hands   of   his   great   uncle.   he   promised   himself   that   if  he   jsut   made   it   through   it ,   he   didn’t   need   to   rely   on   ford   anymore ;  he   could   take   over   the   world   just   like   ford   had   trained   him   to   do —   maybe   then   they’d   both   be   okay   she’d   be   safe.  

                        &   that’s   all   that   mattered   to   him.  

                𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠     down   his   screwdriver ;  he   looks   up   at   mabel   with   an   almost   confused   expression   across   his   face.   for   a   moment   he’s   considering   asking   her   what   she   means  —   giving   him   such   a   vague   answer   like   that.   she   knows   better.    he   considers   himself   to   be   all   knowing   in   a   way ;   he  can   definitively   answer   just  about   any   question   if   you   give   him   a   minute   or   two …  &   with   his   psychic   abilities   he   can   see   right   through   lies.    speaking   of   which …          

              𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧   eyes   narrow  with   offense ;   the   auras   she   gave   off   directly   contradicted   her   statement ;  to   the   point   he   didn’t   even   have   to   ask   what   she’d   done.     even   if   he   wants   to   simply   drop   it ;  excuse   it   like   he   always   does —  he   finds   himself   not   in   the   mood   to   be   playing   the   nice   guy.   in   fact ;  he’s   sick   of   it   right   now.  

❛       is   it   so   hard   for   you   to   not   let   him  wander   ?            ❜    

                𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬   the   closest   she’s   gonna   get   to   a   scolding   until   he’s   back   with   his   prized   possession.    mason   stands   up ;   dusting   off   his   form   before   he    turns   to   face   her   properly   —   he’s   offended   she   thinks   she   can   lie   to   him.    it’s   impossible   to   lie   to   someone   like   him —   he   thought   they’d   established   this   a   million   times.   but   of   course   she   never   listens   to   him.        

             𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐣𝐨𝐲 !  𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐣𝐨𝐲 !  𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐣𝐨𝐲 !   who   is   he    to   ruin   her   plans   with   his   unnecessary   droning   &   rambling   ?   she’s   the   almighty   mythic   bitch   herself ;  mabel   bloody   gleeful.    he’d   honestly   be   lying   if   he   said   she   didn’t   annoy   him   like   that   some   times.   maybe   if   she   could   just   get   over   herself   long   enough   to   let   him   talk   maybe   they   wouldn’t   have   to   keep   getting   so   close   to   exposure.

❛       i’ll   find   him   myself.      stay   put  until   i   get   back  ,  please.     ❜          

❛        thinking   that   way   is   foolish  ,   we   can’t   upkeep   a   reputation   if   you’re   chasing   every   boy   you   meet.    i   didn’t   even   think   your   obsession   would   last   longer   than   a   week.     are   you   really   going   to   throw   that   all   away   for   gideon   pines   ?   ❜  

           𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧   had   learned   at   this   point   that   love   was   a   joke ,   wendy   had   taken   his   heart   &  broken   it   just   like   ford   had –  so   what   reason   did   he   have   to   possibly   care   for   her  –  or   any   other   significant   other    for   that   matter    ?    oh   wait,      there   were   none.    maybe   she   could   realize   that   after   she   got   over   this   crush ..  &   he   could   say   he   told   her   so. 

❛       that   isn’t   important.    i’m   fine.     ❜  

        𝐭𝐡𝐞    male   blatantly   states ;  he   knew   he   needed   to   get  some   sleep  –  but   was   he   really   going   to   do   that   ?   ever   since   ford   had   taken  them   in   it   seemed   mason   refused   to   embrace   sleep   until   he   couldn’t   stand   it   any   more.       he   really   wasn’t   in   the   mood  to   discuss  his   physical   health  ;   in   fact   it   had   nothing   to   do   with   the   situation.     

              𝐚𝐬   she   tells   him   the   last   bit ;   he   sighs   with   a   slight   annoyance —  refusing   to   exactly   believe   this   is   gonna   end   like   most   of   her   relationships   do.   this   kind   of   stuff   makes   him  ..   feel   angry   in   some   sort   of   way.   he   doesn’t   want   them   to   end   up   together. 

“   You   call   it   obsession,   but   you   don’t   realize   how   much   we   love   each   other.   I   don’t   think   I   could   find   better   if   I   tried.   He’s   perfect   in   every   way.   “

      Oh   yes,   definitely   jealous.   Constellation   couldn’t   hide   things   from   his   sister   very   well,   especially   when   she   was   much   more   observant   than   anyone   gave   her   credit   for.   Mabel   could   pine   after   the   cutest   boy   in   Gravity   Falls   while   still   keeping   Mason   close   to   her.   As   long   as   that   wretched   Pacifica   kept   her   distance,   things   would   be   perfectly   fine.

“   I’m   throwing   nothing   away   for   anyone.   Gideon   simply   stole   my   heart   &&   I   intend   to   make   him   aware   of   it.   I   will   have   him   with   or   without   your   approval.   “
