I feel like I haven't drawn cats for years! This double portrait of a cat & kitten was completed and sent all the way to Spain. My aim was to add in as much detail as possible as the reference wasn't the clearest, I hope you like the outcome 😊

The start of Buster's portrait, it was so lovely to receive this German Shepherd commission after recently welcoming home a GSD pup myself! This portrait has a blank background on grey paper.

Finished portrait which has now been gifted, I really enjoyed how the end result was an emerging from the dark background, drawing in the lighting for this piece was very enjoyable! I hope you like it, pastel, 40x50cm

The start on this lovely face, loving the dark features paired with a darker background. It's always a fun challenge to bring highlights out on black fur 😊

A portrait on the smaller side that was completed a little while ago and has now been gifted! Pastel, 24x30cm.

I always love when there's a great dynamic lighting in a drawing, Lovis' portrait is a lovely example of how good lighting helps to elevate a portrait drawing. I hope you like it so far!

So excited to share a work in progress of this drawing of the lovely Lovis 🥰 Loving the darker blue background which is not something I've done before. More pictures to come soon!

More progress with Milo's portrait, nearly there.. I really love how well the background colours go wit the colour of his fur, I used many shades of light blue's and greys to create this background.
