(Shaymincafe) ShayingStar: So if youâre part Mew, can you use a lot of moves? If so, whatâs your favorite to use?
"I can use a lot of moves," they affirm, taking a moment to give the second question some thought, "I don't know if I have a favorite, though...I only really used them before whenever the scientists made me." There's a touch of a frown on their features. That thought in particular clearly isn't a pleasant one.
"I haven't had to battle since Mewtwo brought me here," Eon continues, "They said I never had to battle again if I don't want to." They pause, and when they speak again, their voice is a little quieter, "...I don't know yet if I don't want to."
"Oh! I apologize, I did not mean to cause discomfort," they said, bowing their head a bit. "That does sound rather traumatic. I would not fault you for never wishing to battle or use moves again. Though, I will say, not every move is combat oriented! Perhaps you could learn something like those if you wished to move away from battling but still use moves? I'd be happy to try and teach you a couple moves I know â but only if you're truly interested. There is no pressure."
(Shaymincafe) Spicata @ Meadowbrook: Ponyta, as I understand it, are typically herd animals. Are there others of your kind in the forest? Or do you habitate with other psychic or fairy pokemon?
*Meadowbrook was obviously starstuck at the presence of the Shaymin. How lucky was he that he caught xerâs attention??? It only furthered his revolve that this was all a sign for him and Missy!*
Meadowbrook: To answer your question, great Shaymin, I do indeed have a herd. While it is mainly Ponyta and Rapidash, there are a few other psychic and fairy types that live among us. Itâs best to live in a group here. To protect us from not only invasive trainers and pokemon, but also those pesky Impidimps that love to torment us.
*Missy looked up at the mention of the Impidimp. She stared at Meadowbrook confused, but before she could even open her mouth to ask, the Ponyta answered her question.*
Meadowbrook: Does it surprise you? That even us âsnobbyâ psychic types dislike Impidimps? Yes, I have heard what you ghost and dark types call us.
Missy: I guess it does⊠I mean, you both donât really seem to like ghost and dark types.
Meadowbrook: The difference is that we simply prefer to stay out of your way. Itâs instinct, thanks to our types. Those annoying Inpidimps do nothing but cause trouble for the both of us!
Hey Jirachi? Do you have any idea what's going on?
Jirachi crowed, seemingly delighted before the weight of the words finally registered in it's head.
They're delight skewed into one of bitterness, then soft sorrow. Small hands reaching up to touch their cheeks, the motion aborted halfway through for an awkward hovering.
It opened it's mouth, pausing for a second as if it struggled to actually tell anyone what happened.
The eye on it's stomach blinked, glancing away from the mew and towards the Shaymin approaching.
Jirachi turned away from the Mew, forgoing their question and focusing on the new mythical approaching.
Ashia faltered, eyes darting left to right as if suddenly realizing his trainer was gone.
The last thing they remembered was their team trying to fight a new pokemon- Jirachi, they guessed- and then...
He focused back on the pokemon- Jirachi- and stepped forward, a desperation settling in their bones. If this pokemon was able to teleport him somewhere completely random then-
Ashia felt desperate, the churning fear swirling in his chest. They had to find their trainer.
(@shaymincafe) Rosemary trotted up to the eevee, carrying a basket of berries on her back. "An offering for your soup! Sitrus and Oran berries to help restore strength," she said. "How did you manage to find this place? It seems rather remote."
âOh! Thank you for this! I was looking for some berries earlier, but I could only find a couple. This will help the soup immensely,â the Eevee seemed very excited for so many berries being provided. Off to the side where Admyne was resting, the Zacian was talking with the Unown. Their voice was soft, speaking quietly in the ancient tongue.
He set down the basket near the little campfire he made so he could add them to the soup once he chops them up. He began to fidget, however as he began to think about how he got here.
âWell, you see, Iâve been traveling all over Kanto and Johto⊠Iâm trying to find a new evolution. Like, my siblings are cool and all, but I want to be different,â he admitted. âSo, I may have decided to wander beyond some barriers in the hope of finding some ancient treasure chests⊠weâre still finding so much about the ancients, it makes sense I could become a dragon type, right?â He asked.
âI-I have an idea of what it could look like, though⊠I drew this when I was really littleâŠâ he reached down into the white bag nearby and grabbed a piece of paper.
âI-itâs silly⊠but⊠like, I want to find it! Like, it has to be out there, right?â the Eeveeâs tail was wagging excitedly behind him.

"A few hundred years ago, a GIANT Cosmog crash landed near a Gracida field, and the energy from it mutated the Shaymin nearby, along with the flowers, and gave us some of its powers. So I'm a Psychic/Grass type, instead of a normal Shaymin, and I look like this!"
He did a spin around to show off his star kissed coat.
"We're really rare, though, so we keep to ourselves."
(Shaymincafe) Pumpkin approached quietly, eager to see her old friend again but not wanting to disturb his slumber. âI canât say I recognize you,â she said in a quiet voice to the other Shaymin. âWho might you be?â
Despite how loud he seems to be, the sleeping figure doesnât wake. âCanât say I recognize ya either. This village is tiny and I know every shaymin around!â
As I mentioned on Monday, I'm going on vacation for a bit! I ended up not having time to prepare updates in advance like I'd hoped, so we're going to take a mini-hiatus after tomorrow's update. It'll likely be mid-May before anything new comes out but we'll see.

I don't really need a preamble or anything. Yes, it's true, this community has historically been quite hostile to trans women. I've had a friend targeted with false accusations of being a creepy pervert for the crime of being trans and female. As if that is a crime, somehow.
We had a predator and known drama-monger some couple years ago who was able to get away with it for so long because most of their victims were trans fem, whom no one believed, because they were trans fem.
And of course we have had various incidents of people using any number of gross terms to refer to trans women, gleefully and casually.
So by now you are probably beginning to see the pattern.
Maybe you need some help. In that case I shall enlighten you...
So what is transmisogyny? It is exactly what it says on the tin: the discrimination and mistreatment of trans women. It is an intersection of transphobia and misogyny. As such it is both of those as well.
Why is it bad? Well, the better question to ask would be why *isn't* it bad? It serves no purpose beyond the spread of hatred as well as perpetuating the belief that women are like property that must look and act a certain way.
Who does it affect? Obviously the primary target is trans women, and you should care about the fact that it harms trans women. But in fact, transmisogyny affects everyone.
You might think "I don't hate trans women, so I'm not transmisogynistic!" and you may not be. But, you must also keep in mind that it is so deeply entrenched in society that you might say and do transmisogynistic things without knowing it.
For example:
Do you expect women or female characters to look a certain way? This could be plain old misogyny, but it could also be transmisogyny. If you've ever complained that a female character looks too much like a guy because her boobs are too small or her shoulders are too wide, etc., well yeah ... you are probably suffering from transmisogyny disease. And also general misogyny disease too, seeing as transmisogyny is a subtype of it.
Do you get grossed out by women with certain types of genitalia, insisting they censor themselves as some sort of fetish or otherwise sequester themselves away for the sake of others? It is transmisogyny. Regardless of what you are attracted to, a woman should not be forced to hide herself away as some kind of freak commodity simply because she is not what you personally consider desirable. Also, people are likely forced to interact with you on the regular, so it just makes you a hypocrite.
Do you refer to women by what is between their legs*? It is transmisogyny. It's a way to other women that do not fit the "norm".
Obviously, assuming any given trans woman is a secret pervert is transmisogyny. This may seem obvious but so many people do this! In LGBT focused spaces perhaps most of all!
there are many other examples but most tie back into the ones mentioned here. Please do a little introspection from time to time.
Trans women deserve to feel as safe and as welcome as anyone else here in this community.
Lastly: this post is about trans WOMEN (/trans fems). I am aware that other trans people exist, but there are certain pervasive attitudes that are near exclusively shown towards trans WOMEN, and so that is what this post is about.
*some trans women do refer themselves with such terms. There is a lot of debate about this matter, so try not to overstep if it is a trans woman herself using the term. She may be a victim of internalised transmisogyny but what people are comfortable with varies. But, never use terms like futanari or trap if you are not a transfem individual. Read the room.
