the ending of episode 7 gave me LITERAL CHILLS. Poseidon’s voiceover as Annabeth helps Percy up as he is about to fight Ares was PERFECT. the writing and direction in this episode was GREAT and the kids were amazing acting wise too - tens all around !!!!

I think the kids are doing amazing and the emotions that they are able to convey at 12 and 16 year olds is incredible and it’s important we acknowledge that and give them the credit they deserve??? They can only improve from here too.

I was watching The Greatest Showman yesterday and all I could think about was how Tim said he wanted to do this musical and I couldn’t stop imagining the HSMTMTS characters playing the characters in The Greatest Showman !! We could’ve gotten Rina Rewrite the Stars. We could’ve gotten a Jet and Ricky duet with The Other Side. We could’ve gotten Kourtney singing Tightrope.
can all the liv fans please stop with the comparisons with sofia. stop flooding her comments with you wish liv did it instead. stop saying she looks like liv. just for the love of god stop. if you prefer liv go to livs page leave sofia alone. stop with the comparisons. they’re friends. i seriously doubt that liv is co-signing y’all bs towards her friend. do better. and sofia if you somehow do see this we love you. you’re doing amazing and we can’t wait for your next project.
sofia wylie is an incredibly talented actress and performer that has been giving amazing monologues and acting performances like she gave in gina’s goodbye speech in 4x08 since forever and instead of appreciating her for that and also appreciating how far her singing has improved since s1 (when she’s never been a singer) half this fandom consistently tries to dim her light and overshadow her because they cannot let go of a Certain actress and a Certain real life relationship they still obsess over to this day. any time without fail she gets shine whether it be a performance of hers or a scene with ricky as character they come out of the woodworks talking about they miss olivia and it could have been her. every time she has a big scene and/or duet as gina with ricky they constantly bring up a duet or scene between rini and talk about how nothing can compare when we All know they’re talking about that certain real life relationship and not the actual characters; especially because the only scene they ever talk about is ricky’s confession and that’s because they’re obsessed with the fact it was improvised bc of that certain real life relationship.
and then they’ll pretend they like sofia and their comments aren’t in bad faith when it happens constantly in so many ways and has been since s1 (trying to convince people that joshua didn’t like her and sending her hate for liking rina being examples). they’ll get mad at you when you tell them to stop spamming every video of hers that has to do with hsmtmts that she “looks like olivia rodrigo” by saying it’s not that deep and it’s a compliment. would you want your comment section obnoxiously filled with how you look like someone else and that be the only thing they focus on? and we all know whenever they try to weirdly say it about gina they really just are trying to think of her as nini because they can’t let go of That relationship.
i love hsmtmts but one of the reasons i’m glad it’s ended is so sofia can eventually move on to a show or movie that doesn’t have a fandom (and unprofessional journalists and news outlets like entertainment weekly who literally is cutting her out of videos and the daily beast with their terrible s4 reviews) that is constantly trying to dim her light.
The amount of crazy microassgresions Sofia or Gina have received from some publications are wild. Acting like she isn’t a talented woman on her own that has been working on successful Disney shows for years, had a #1 Netflix movie and acted with the likes of Kerry Washington and Charlize Theron. Own her own production company. Her acting abilities have constantly raised the bar for this show each season and in this one she especially deserves her flowers.
A lot of Nini stans (that are often just Olivia stans that can’t separate actor from character) have also been engaged in crazy wild micro aggressions that you get passed around as “criticism” for the show and the insinuation that Sofia isn’t capable of being the leading lady.
And not just disrespect to Sofia as a whole but the cast that is incredible vital and excellent in what they do. Trying to downplay the likes of Julia Lester who’s a whole Tony nominated actress/performer. And just overall the vocals of people such as Dara Reneé, Joshua, Adrian, Frankie Rodriguez, and the list goes on. Trying to claim the “new characters” are not like the others when said characters brought a lot more representation to the table not just as Asian/Black characters but finally a canon sapphic character with a full blown romance with one of the mains. A lot of you are incredible nasty in the name of “nostalgia” that you don’t even realize how silly and weird you all sound.
Not enough people are giving Sofia her flowers this season - she managed to play three different characters flawlessly !! That is a leading lady.
She also expressed in interviews how difficult it was for her to do so and mentioned her struggles with imposter syndrome. It’s about time publications start recognising her talent and accept the fact that a black woman is the leading lady period.
I also saw publications trying to push Dani as the leading lady prior to season four coming out and after watching the season, she was barley in it ??? People just do not like seeing a black woman as the lead.
Of course, it is okay to miss Olivia or Nini’s presence in the show but do not put down the rest of the cast to do that!!
Tim is CRAZY for adding “*not canon (at this time).” He easily could’ve added “not canon.” Now I’m delusional about getting a rina spin-off !!

Look at Carlos and Kourtney’s face during Rina’s CIHTD it’s just too funny
I do think Tim’s decision to wrap up the show was a good decision especially with the strikes happening at the moment. However, I feel like there was still so much more stories to tell with the characters and so much more that they could have done if we got another season.
Some things I wished we could have seen this season and if we got a season 5:
A prom episode: I would’ve loved to see how rina, madlyn, seblos asked each other to prom. I feel like prom episodes always bring some sort of drama as well so that would be interesting to see how that played out!
More focus on Ricky’s future: I wish we got more of a focus on Ricky deciding what he wanted to do in the future. We did get a little in season 4 but i felt like it was a bit rushed. I was really happy with how they handled Kourtney’s college storyline this season though!
Kourtney and Jet: I understand this season has already so much going on so it was hard to flesh out Jetney but if we did get a season 5, I would’ve loved to see them more and their dynamic.
Boys and Back and Just Wanna Be With You: I feel ROBBED !! I wish we could’ve gotten these performances this season. I feel like they had plans to preform them but because of time constraints they couldn’t. Also Jet mentions the place he felt the happiest was preforming the Boys and Back with Ricky, it would’ve been nice to see the moment he told he realised that and not just have it told to us.
Emmy: if we got a season 5, I would’ve loved for us to learn more about Emmy. She was so funny this season !!
Maddox and Jet: same as the last point. As Maddox said in episode 406 they just got here and I wish we could’ve learned more about the both of them and even regarding Jet why did he get expelled? How’s their home life?
I loved season four so so so much!! I believe they wrapped it up the best they could as well! I just want more of the wildcats on my screen. I hope we get a movie/spin-off or something !!
Not getting to see “just wanna be with you” and “the boys are back” preformed broke me !!
In person interviews ???! I prayed for times like this
I actually want rina to sing right here, right now because the bridge is so beautiful and I know Josh and Sofia will sound too good !!! I need it !!
