I do not think "oh, Venezuela just has bad luck". No. We had neglect. Ever since I was a child, people kept telling me we were due for another big earthquake... Everybody knew we were due for another one!! Venezuela has one big earthquake every half a century, and rhe last one was in 1967, all we needed was to do the math and be like "well, we need rescue equipment, and we need to assess the state of this or that building so it does not FALL ON PEOPLE"...

A magnitude 7.5 earthquake hit Venezuela on 24 July just after 6 pm. The death toll has been raised to 920 death and there are at least 3,600 injured. There are still people trapped under the rubble and the rescue teams sent by other countries are still getting people out in La Guaira. How can you help?
