Sonic

ooc: Man... life sure likes to get in the way. I went months with out having internet. Not that I wasn’t already kinda inactive before that... Anyway. I don’t really know for sure what I wanna do with this blog right now, but I at least wanted to come on and let anyone who doesn’t know me on discord/twitter know that I’m not dead!

     The sweater was placed carefully with some of the other gifts that Harmony wasn’t already wearing so that it could be packed away in her satchel later. The following giggle came from the mental image of Boomer being an outright terror at those poor leg wraps on Sonic’s ankles and grabbed a plate for her father to put cake on.

     “Thanks! Daddy actually made the whole thing cuz the ones in the store couldn’t fit me.” Between her fluff and the fact that the shoes couldn’t fit her feet, it was just easier for her father to make it. “He even made the bunny but I used it on a stinky asshole.”

     “I think I need to mention to Jerard not give her explosives when she asks…” He wished he was joking.

     Sonic waited until Harmony had her slice of cake before getting one for himself, casting Volt a greeting smile as he did so. He nodded, not surprised that Volt had made the entire costume himself, but still impressed! Volt was always so skilled with that sort of thing. “Lucky your dad’s so good with- wait what?”

     {➹} – IT HAD BEEN A RANDOM DECISION on Arrow’s part. Ever since his Zone had opened back up after closing itself to the Multiverse, for reasons still unknown to him, he wanted to make a point in checking up on old friends. Three years away from them, at least on his end, had left more question than answers when it came to those he used to know before things in his Zone had gone wonky, for lack of a better word. His alternates were just some of the people he had been worried about, and for good reason.

     The one he was seeking out today was no exception to that, and add in that it had been more than a few years since they had talked (lockdown or not) and he knew it was due time for a visit. He could only hope that he had gotten it right when he touched down in the new Zone, realizing only after he had made his choice that he hadn’t actually been to the other’s home world before. That might have had a hand in why he appeared a few more feet above the ground than he intended, luckily being able to manipulate the air around him to cushion the fall as he half-landed, half-floated to the ground. It was only then he looked up, admiring the landscape before seeing an all too familiar figure a few meters away on the path.

      One that he wasted no time going up to, hoping that his sudden appearance wasn’t too startling as he failed to fight back a delighted smile. “Troublemaker, ‘s been a little too long, don’t you think?”

     Sonic had to pause in his approach when he saw his alternate literally float to the ground. Honestly it shouldn’t have been the most surprising thing ever, even he himself had some ability to manipulate wind, but that was some serious precision work right there. More than that, though, Arrow’s overall appearance struck him. Something- a lot- was different. It had him standing there blinking for a few moments as the other approached him instead.

     At least it was easy to snap out of it once he heard Arrow’s voice, and he flashed a cheeky grin at that little nickname. Excitement quickly built up in him as he processed finally getting to see Arrow again, he moved to meet his alternate half way, Boomer following alongside him.
