Captain Cold.

Well, I figure it's high time that I finally make a decision.

This version of my Len, from here on out, will be under permanent hiatus. If there are any that would still like to consider this specific version of my Len to be their RP canon Len, then I could be convinced to be on here to do prose, but probably not more than that.

That said, I will be rebooting and making a Len similar to this (and retconning what I want to retcon), to create a similar Len that I will start RPing again. I will consider that to be my rp-canon Len, so anyone who's been RPing with my Len is more than welcome to consider that Len to be their Len, if that makes any sense.

I'm putting Len on indefinite hiatus. Almost all of his original Rogues are gone, he's burned too many bridges, and playing him isn't fun any more. That's it.

If he does come back, he'll probably be either a slightly rebooted version of the Len I've been playing, or he'll be miserable reckless alcoholic post-Al and still slightly rebooted version of the Len I've been playing. And I'll most likely not come back on him unless I get another smattering of Rogues again.

I hate to cut it off like this, after over a year and a half of playing (my second longest active roleplay since I started RPing on tumblr, at that), but this is just what it's boiled down to. I'll fill Len's queue so that those who still remain following at least have something to look at, and if something changes, or if I decide to reboot, I'll make an announcement for it.

For starters, I am not my character.

As much as I may adore Len, as much as I'd sometimes want to trade places with him, Len and I are not one in the same. There are things I would want Len to do that are not in his character, and yet I don't have them do them because they aren't in his character. In the same rights, there are things that he does that are in character that I would rather not have him do, but I have him do them anyways because they are in character for him.

In that same aspect, this is Len. Things aren't going to be sunshine and kittens. Len is a great big bag of dicks a good portion of the time. He will say things that will piss people off. He has opinions, and, on occasion, he will lie about things. However, most of the time, this is a post-metahuman accident, post-getting old and realizing that he doesn't want to be a villain any more Cold. This Len is crotchety at times, and when he has opinions, they're probably pessimistic. He'll jump to conclusions, make assumptions, and if you have a problem with his character, that's fine. It is not fine, however, to have a problem about his character and then take it out on me, the player. Especially if I try to explain my reasoning behind his actions, or try to validate what is going on and why he thinks a certain way.

On a more personal note, I want to make this known: I am a second year senior in college, working on finishing my Bachelor's in Professional Writing. I have two minors, as well, one in Graphic Design and one in Art History. Which means that I'm taking 12-18 credit hours a semester. In addition to that, I have a lot of homework. In addition to my schooling, I am a manager of my own store, and I have 5-10 employees at any one time that I have to look after. I work (on the clock) 20 hours a week and, off the clock, I work about another 5-10 hours a week, depending on the week. I have to mother my student employees and make sure that they're well taken care of, that the store's in good shape, and be the bridge between my store and the main store, as well as between my employees and our supervisors and the director. Just in the past week, I had meetings with both of my supervisors, the director of our company, the head of my major department, the manager of Computer Services, and two meetings with my advisor. To top it all off, I had to fight to get someone to fix our air conditioner, and I have to take my cat to the vet.

That said, tumblr is my hobby. It is not my job, or my school, it is my hobby what I do in my free time. I enjoy it, a lot. And I love the people I roleplay with! But if any of you have a problem with Len, or with me, don't fly off the handle at me. I will try to deal with it level-headedly and reasonably, but I simply don't have the energy to focus if someone isn't willing to work with me if something happens that they don't like or agree with.
