The Bund
We went to the Bund after we landed and unpacked and it was beautiful to see all of the lights in the Financial District from The Bund. It made me feel nostalgic of home and reminded me of Times Square because of how crowded it was.
All of the buildings by The Bund were gorgeous to look at and I noticed a European inspired aesthetic in architecture and design.
Our hotel is right by East Nanjing Road, so we are a couple of blocks away from shopping! I was so excited when I bumped into Etude House, an Asian beauty shop. I always shop on the online site back at home, but it takes forever to ship. All of the shops we came across had very cutesy displays and arrangements. I came across more American brands than Asian brands, which made me realize how western Shanghai is from what I imagined it to be before coming here.
If anyone knows me, they know that I am completely obsessed and in love with bubble tea. I had to try their bubble tea, and it didn’t disappoint. The package it in a glass vase looking cup, and give you the option of what size tapioca. Only in Shanghai!
I’m going to the etude location too! I’m having trouble finding it though… I’m near west nanjing road!
This is my China travel blog as well! I leave Friday, however...
