Rocket Science Magazine is hosting a photography fundraiser featuring $100 prints, in which all proceeds from the print sales will go to a charity of the photographer’s choice. All charities center around supporting Black lives and the ongoing fight against racism, and new prints will be added each week. I'm happy to say that Light Work Lab will be supporting the printing and fulfillment of these works. The print that I've offered comes from the ongoing project I've been working on in Syracuse, and all funds raised from it will support the Central New York Chapter of The New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU). In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Études has launched YES FUTURE, a print sale of photographs to raise funds for All United Against Coronavirus. Funds raised will be donated to finance research projects needed to accelerate treatment and vaccine development, support local social workers, and contribute to charities working with the most vulnerable. Zaid Kurdieh of Norwich Meadows Farm is a darling of NYC’s Greenmarkets, and until the pandemic hit grew for some of the city’s best chefs (supplying specialty ingredients to Contra, Wildair, Gramercy Tavern, Shoji at 69 Leonard Street, Marta, Eleven Madison Park, Blue Hill, Momofuku Ko, among others). “It’s navigation with no compass,” Kurdieh says about the pandemic. “All of that market is gone, and no one knows what’s going to happen or how people’s behaviors are going to change.” Read the story online via The New York Times.
