Yesterday marked one year of my grandmother's passing. It was an emotional roller coaster for me. I woke up from having a dream about her, cried while doing (and redoing) my makeup and explaining to Elan why I keep crying, and started my day out late after trying to find a good photo of us and getting carried away with reminiscing about our times together. I even wore one of her dresses from the 50s she passed on to me (the one in this photo is another one of those beautiful dresses!) to feel close to her. It's been a year but I miss her no less. I think about her constantly. Anytime I hear a song she'd sing to me comes on, immediate tears. I even cried during my amazing birthday dinner this August because my day wasn't complete without her greeting me at 6am. I'm so thankful I have an enormous amount of wonderful memories of her, but yesterday was one of those days that my heart craved for her deeply.
