shane and ilya are on their honeymoon, lying on a beach towel with ilya’s head resting on shane’s chest. ilya lifts his head to look at shane, seeing his husband completely relaxed and almost asleep and he looks down at shane’s shoulder to gaze at his freckles which he’s absolutely in love with. he notices that shane has a few new ones after all the sun they’ve been soaking up and he points to a few and goes “these ones here are new” and shane lifts his head slightly and looks at ilya and asks “how do you know i have new freckles?” and ilya kisses his husband’s shoulder and says “because i’m completely crazy and obsessed with you” and shane laughs and lays his head back down and says “weirdo” and ilya says poking shane’s side making him laugh “as if you wouldn’t notice a new mole on me” and shane replies “you know i’m also crazy and obsessed about you” and ilya breaks into this huge smile and kisses shane’s lips and then his shoulder again and rests his head back on his husband’s chest.

the thing about capitalism is that at a certain point a product reaches its maximum audience and cant really be improved (at least not while remaining profitable), but capitalism requires a product provide infinite growth, and at that point the only way to increase profits is to raise prices, cut corners, and in the case of services start adding advertisements. this is just how the system works.

The old school lack of transparency on tumblr is amazing because you assume the people you follow must all be equivalent to you and then you see someone write “I brought my youngest to college today” and someone else write “my mom wouldn’t let me listen to Ariana Grande when I was a kid” and then your head explodes

honestly one of the best things we can do for ourselves is realize that people of different ages than us can still be the same kind of person as us. it's humbling and it gives everyone involved a sense of continuity, and it busts those stupid generational stereotypes media is so fond of.
