welcome to shakestember! a prompt challenge similar to that of whumptober or inktober, but this time, for the shakespeare nerds out there.

this post will be pinned to my profile and updated with info and an faq, as well as links to each year's shakestober prompts. all info under the cut.

info worth knowing:

each prompt will be a quote from shakespeare's works. this includes both poems and plays

your work does not need to be about the shakespeare character in question. it can be, but it can also be fanfic of different characters entirely or original work!

the official prompt list will release on september 1st of each year. completionists will get their work featured on this account

all related works should be tagged under "#shakestember20xx" so i can see them. that's "#shakestember 2026" this year!

art of any form is accepted. drawings, fanfics, music, sculpture, original writings, you name it. happy creating!
