delusional woman seeks comfort in a digital world ….
I genuinely wish we got to see more of Rehman handling a gun. I think the only time we see him use it is in the final fight? And that's shortlived too.
But the absolute aura oozing from him without even raising a hand most of the movie just shows how much of a good actor Akshaye is and how Aditya Dhar is a genius.
The scene of him smashing Babu Dakait's head with that weight shows how brutal the man can be when provoked.
And now that I think about it, I feel like him using guns a lot would make him seem like every other villain. It would almost create this subconscious thought that Rehman needs a gun. But he doesn't. He pulls one out (at the final fight) only when it's absolutely necessary.
I like the thought that unlike what one would assume, Rehman doesn't carry a gun with him at all times. He has some knives hidden here and there and that's it. That would be interesting.
I think he'd be an expert in using knives as weapons. He knows all the tricks and tips to carve a man out – all learnt from the time he spent working under Haji Laloo. He loves spinning them around his fingers like a toy. He has a dartboard hidden in his office and takes it out to practice often so he doesn't go rusty. He also uses it to vent out his frustrations after a deal goes bad. Uzair is mesmerized every time Rehman hits the aim perfectly. If he's in a good mood, he'll teach Uzair some tricks too.
The gang has silly competitions and places bets on who can get the most points and Rehman comes first every damn time. Siyahi comes second, followed by Uzair.
Rehman knows everything there is to know about knives and he has a special one which has a Sher engraved onto the handle – a gift from Shirani Sahab himself.
All that aside, I still wanted to see him using a gun more. Would've been hot.
watching dhurandhar part 1 again, and during the “mehroom nahi, mehroon” scene, I can’t wrap my head around the fact that the Uzair who so brilliantly articulated the ins and outs of Khanani’s business, even knew how the fake bills are transported to India, was relegated to a bumfucking druggie in dhurandhar: the revenge
Okay fine, I get it, Rehman’s death broke him, but boy was the second-in-command for a reason!
him and rehman built that empire together! He had the gang members looking upto him, his entire family depending on him, Shirani would have crowned him Sher-E-Baloch.
I just cannot reconcile that the guy we saw in D1 didn’t consider the logistics that he could have easily gotten SP Aslam killed by asking Iqbal, Arshad could have been dealt with in a more lowkey way and if Uzair stepped into politics, Jamali’s party was anyways on a downwards spiral, I mean, he could have found a way to deal with him too 🤷🏻♀️
before anyone jumps at me that “omg why are you vouching for a terrorist!”, IM NOT ✋🏻🙂
all I’m saying is, Uzair had a lot of potential as an opponent. Hamza and Uzair could have had their Obi Wan vs Anakin arc. It would have been so much more nuanced, but Dhar Sahab heavily commercialised the sequel 🙂↕️☝🏻

DANISH PANDOR as UZAIR BALOCH in DHURANDHAR 1 AND 2
This is just a second before Yalina says 'Ae chacha teri ammi ki karaun dusri shaadi?'
Rehman was already looking at her before she even said anything! He knew whatever the photographer said would get a reaction from her!
What if he knew Yalina would give a befitting reply because she's been a regular at the haveli for years (id like to think from the age of 6-8?) so he's used to the sass, enjoys it and DEFINITELY encourages it.
Also, what makes Yalina speak in such a tone? Growing up in a rich neighbourhood, most girls have a very polished vocab and Yalina does speak in that manner when she's talking to Hamza after the club fiasco BUT here when she's around her Rehman Bhai she is at ease, in her element rather.
Soo Yalina probably picked up this lingo during her visits to Lyari and the haveli and there must have been instances where Rehman saw her feistiness and with a smirk thought 'yeh apne baap se mukhtalif hai, approved'.
All of this is hc so *sighs*
I need more dhurandhar crack fics warna mujhe ab rona aajayega

Take your dhurandhar husband to a bts concert☝🏻
Make him wear BT21 headbands.
What if I take my BTS husband to watch Dhurandhar?🤔
I know Jin will absolutely slay Phir Se or Akhri Ishq and keep humming the songs 24/7
And I am definitely taking Uzair to a Run Seokjin Ep Tour. He will love the charades segment and Super Chamchi segment and will absolutely cry to Background.
I think during both the films jin's reactions will be similar to the ones he had during the wrestling match in mexico. Wdym he has tears in his eyes by the end.
I think Uzair would enjoy RUN BTS too, he'd develop a habit of watching it with y/n in the evenings over some snacks
'Arey aaj woh Naya episode nahi aaya kya? Chalo purana hi repeat krletey hain'

So I just finished watching D2 and mind you I'm VERY Uzair biased, I was interested in the second part only because of Uzair and Yalina
Jis bedardi se Hamza ne Uzair ka naam liya when they wanted someone to be framed REALLY broke my heart.
Ooo and that part where hamza was recording the arshad pappu thing too
Mujhe bas yahi kehna tha☝🏻
'So why don't you and your goddamn shanti! Go to hell'
I bet aditya dhar watched om shanti om and was like 'mhhhmmmm villain ko lock Kiya jaaye'
