welcome to shadowvgm! where if i hear a song i like in a game i upload it. i believe song uploads on social media are important to fan conversation and also i have a ratatouille mindset about vgm where i think that a great ost can come from anywhere
i try to avoid uploads i think will be "redundant", as in multiple people have uploaded the track before. i also try to rip tracks myself whenever possible, and then record if not possible, and then only after i've exhausted other options go looking for an ost upload. this is to maintain quality, since mp3 files here have to be pretty small anyways. the only exceptions to this are when i could only get the song in its best quality from an ost release or edge cases where i had one or more issues ripping a song
tags go from vgm, to release console, to release year, to game name, to composer name, to series name. if this isn't the format of a posts tags it's because i messed up. images are either random pulls from the games promo materials or my own screenshots of gameplay (usually)
do not request songs i don't have the time for that
