Belladonnas

Weiss clicked her tongue as she GAZED at the makeshift bandage. Reaching out and examining the dressing, she sighed. It was already soiled and worn. A wound with this SATIN bow would definitely grow infected. Rubbing her fingers gently across it, she answered. 

❝ You should have come to me SOONER or at least gone to someone else who had medical knowledge. Blake, you need to take better care of yourself. ❞

The white haired girl had always worried about her friends’ WELL-BEING; from Ruby’s grades, Yang’s temper, and Blake’s refusal to take care of herself. Blake had always been more CONCERNED about other things, getting caught up in things out of her control. 

            Ears flatten, the bow hiding them on her head following suit as it seemed to ‘deflate’. Blake knew Weiss was going to say that. They all did, really, and internally, she always felt so, so guilty about it. She didn’t mean to make them worry. She didn’t mean to be so self destructive.

        “ I . . . I know. ” She’s known it for a while, now. “ I didn’t realize how deep it was at first until I was carrying a couple of books. I’m sorry. ”

          gross sure but funny and the fact blake finds farts jokes even remotely entertaining makes him fall a little bit in love with her maybe whoops. he shrugs, scratching the back of his head, “sometimes? usually he just whines and tells me to stop but there was this one time he put superglue on my eyebrows and stuck lil’ gem stone things on them. personally, i think i pulled the look off.”

    `…who do you think you’re talking to?` yang gives one ear an experimental poke, then scratches behind it. she’s not willing to admit that she’s… a little jealous of blake’s hair, but it is silky soft — and not a snag or tangle in sight! remind her to ask blake what conditioner she used later. ` — figure out some other way. that a challenge, belladonna? i’ll have you know, i’ve been a tickling champ since ruby was tiny. ask her; she knows my power.`

          ok she’s laughing and it’s kind of the best thing ever but he plays it off cool enough, “what can i say, man? sometimes you just gotta let it out.” 

    a lump formed in her throat, stopping weiss from saying anything further.   she was surprised by her sudden sentimentality and emotional reaction ; but it had been a close fight, and they were all so TIRED these days.  she’d blame it on the lack of sleep, for sure.  fighting down the urge to cry, weiss raised her head and offered her friend a wide smile.

     ❛     i’d love to get tea!  its my treat — i promise i won’t get declined this time.     ❜

        she returned the smile. a very rare thing for blake, but, she had learned to open up more with her friends. it wasn’t nowhere near becoming completely open, but, she was getting there, bit by bit. she gently released weiss from her part of the hug, letting out a quiet chuckle. 

   the white fang?  the mere mention of them made weiss’ blood run cold, and she had to focus hard to keep the nasty comments at bay.    ❛     oh, really?  fantastic.  i – i don’t belong here as it is.  i’m not a faunus.  if they catch me, blake, what will happen?     ❜

          “if by do you mean fart on his eggs this morning then…perhaps.”

     so u admit u love me? now everybody nose it.
