Kitty Pryde

“Sorry?” He apologized, confused, but he chuckled nervously since he wasn’t sure where this was going. He nodded at her words. “No I understand Kitty. I’m just like that. We can like learn together or somethin’.” Peter mumbled as he scuffed something on the floor with his shoe. Looking back at her, he leaned in giving her a kiss. God he had missed her lips.

“I’ve been out a few times. What sort of place were you looking for?” 

“Really- I’m up for anything.”

“Pretty well actually. I go out to it at least once a week.” She chimed, “ I can’t believe you havn’t gone stir crazy from being in here all this time!”

“You’re so right Kitty.” Peter said, taking a deep breath. “This isn’t fair.” He sighed, taking a deep breath. It broke his heart seeing her cry like that. “Look I’m sorry.” He mumbled, taking a step closer to her. “It’s not …I just.” Peter started, a loss for words, his face turning red. “I just really care about you. I do love you.” Peter said softly, taking her hand.

Wanda nodded silently, turning her head so it was rested more comfortably on Kitty’s shoulder. She didn’t feel particularly sad right now, it had yet to hit her, but she knew soon she would really feel it, and when she did, anyone near her would be in danger. “Just for a while, I should–I should find my brother,” She told her friend, grateful for her company, but too worried for her safety to let her stay for very long. “But thank you very much.”

“They’ve never done that to me,” Ivy added after she swallowed.  “I can’t tell if I should take that as a compliment or an insult.”

“You…are ignoring me because I said I love you?” He said with such force. He just honestly couldn’t believe the words he was hearing from her. From her. She wasn’t supposed to hurt him like this. “Really Kitty. You’re punishing me because I love you? How is that fair?” His voice cracking a bit at the end, which only caused his checks to turn a slight shade of pink.

Wanda nodded, not sure what to say in this situation. She decided to just pat her lightly on the back. You couldn’t go wrong there, could you? “No reason, really. I just not want to be alone tonight. Tomorrow is…” She sighed and started again. “Tomorrow is anniversary of parents death.” She admitted in a rush. Not that saying it quickly makes it better than not saying it at all, but it certainly got it over with sooner.

“Whatever.” Peter said as he sat on the floor, making a loud thud as he carelessly plopped on the floor. “You’re worth it to me Kit.” Peter mumbled, Peter was never one to care about getting into trouble. She should have known that, given on how they had actually met. “So…what did I do?” Peter mumbled, not letting the subject go.
