well, the mindcrack subreddit went private instead of read-only. there goes the rest of the history of mindcrack. the podcast, the charity stream vods, the subreddit, all just gone

a long time member of the community politely and calmly pointed out the subreddit would be better non-private, got condescended at for not knowing why it couldn't (nothing was ever said why, literally the mods of the subreddit said they didn't know the subreddit's exact future in the reddit thread about it), and then got told to drop the topic or they'd be banned from the new placeholder community. horrible impression

Yeah i saw this shit. Sooooo poorly handled. Im trying not to take it out on most of the mods because i dont think there’s much they could have done. But i think the subreddit was honestly so helpful in the aftermath of all the bullshit. The community all needed time to just be like… “wtf just happened??” And lets be honest, there aren’t that many of us left being active on the subreddit, i feel like it was NOT a big deal and they didn’t need to shut it down at all, but it at least could have been read only. Man, so much about this sucks. It just keeps getting more and more suck-y.
