I will become the strongest!

Paul wasn’t generally too keen on being interrupted during training. But that was perhaps because his journey though Sinnoh had left a bad taste in his mouth–generally when people interrupted him they had something negative to say. 

In this case, he was a little surprised, almost relieved, to hear a complement coming from an absolute stranger, although his face hardly showed it. Casting a sideways glance, Paul waved a hand, indicating to Ursaring and Bisharp to take a break.

“Top Eight. Sinnoh.” It wasn’t that he meant to be curt; that was simply how Paul was sometimes. But he did turn, giving the other trainer his full attention. “Who are you?”

“Top Eight, huh? Impressive.” He mumbled expecting the other to either ignore him or just continue training as if he hadn’t interrupted at all. But when the Pokemon stopped training, his eyes lit up a bit. His skin was itching with excitement. If he could battle this guy, he was sure he’d get stronger. There was no doubt about that.

“Hugh Bates. From Unova. Nice to meetcha!” He gave a small wave and a grin broke out on his face almost wanting to ask for a battle right off the bat. But he had better manners then that. Probably. “I defeated the Elite Four in Unova but I lost the Championship title to my best friend. The asshole.” 

Honestly, Hugh had half a mind to punch the guy. Seriously, who just BARRELS into a stranger and almost keeps running off like he HADN’T seen what he’d done. His ass met the pavement and ohhh he was close to exploding on the male. 

Well this was a surprise. Hugh had found himself -- albeit reluctantly -- coming to Pokestar Studios. Kyouhei had invited him multiple times, but Hugh always declined. But really he had been too obsessed with training and getting stronger, but now with Plasma pretty much gone save for a few stragglers and deserters, he had no reason to decline save for the fact he couldn’t care less. But he was giving it a chance at the least. 

                 “Kyouhei? What are you wearing?”

“But Huuuuuuuuugh. It’s so fluffy!” He clings to him, refusing to let go.

                     “Just… what are you doing, Nate?”

A annoyed and confused huff left his lips accompanied by a pout. Why? Why was Nate playing with his hair. Not going to admit it felt nice, but… With a sigh, he swats the other’s hand away.

                      “Oh. I get it.”

The words were said with a hint of humor and slight annoyance. Crimson hues eyed the bushy head brunet as he walked up the steps to the lookout point in Aspertia City.  Back toward the aforementioned view of the lookout to stare -- no glare -- at his childhood friend, arms crossed over his chest.
