Do it for yourself. Don’t do it because it seems cool or anything. And don’t do it to get confirmation. A lot of people don’t give you a chance. But you’re doing it because you love it and it’s what you love to do, then it’s not hard.

“Having him say [Taylor] “You have a choice, and I’m not gonna be mad at you, either way I’m still gonna be your friend, we can write music for other things, we can never write music again”. When I realized that it was my choice to leave it behind and try something else or keep going, maybe still hurt a little while, figuring out whether or not I wanted to do this. That was my moment, that was s good moment for me.”
