Today

Within minutes I received not one, but two, “Thanksbutnothanks” emails from companies. I was excited about both and hoped that one of them would work out, considering I had interviewed twice for each.

They both told me the decision came down to me and another candidate, which manages to be both reassuring and heartbreaking.
