“can’t be more than… i don’t know, a few centimeters, right? not like you’re tiny, or anything.” colin’s spent more time than he wants to admit thinking about kang’s form, anyway – his eyes flit over the younger’s body, and he can’t help but smile. kang looks, well – colin hesitates to use the word pretty, for some reason, though it strikes him as the most accurate. his eyebrows furrow, momentarily, but he presses on regardless. “anyway, i like being taller than you. there’s a pretty small list of dudes i’m taller than, you know?” he gives kang a friendly nudge. “you get in. super exclusive club with no benefits, but it sure is a club."
it’s comfortable, being this close to kang, but colin still draws back a little. it’s like a safety measure, or something, he rationalizes. "france, huh? voulez vous coucher avec moi?” he half-jokes, a lazy smile growing on his face. “i’ve never been. and my french accent is fucking awful, as you now know – years of taking it in school and i can barely form a full sentence. honestly, though, i can’t imagine the eiffel tower being that fun, though – tourists everywhere, you know?” he says. it isn’t the nicest thing to say, and colin knows it’s not the nicest thing to say, but, well, it’s in the world now. he can’t take it back. “i say you show me the actual cool parts of france, and then i take you clubbing a few countries over. and don’t worry – i have enough of an alcohol tolerance for the both of us."
"it was fun, yeah,” colin breathes, chest tightening – the good part’s coming and he can feel it. “melbourne’s, like, beautiful,” he adds, pretending as if he’s not obviously stalling. he smirks at kang’s compliment, then. “i do, don’t i?” he adds, much more confidently. he feels kang’s hand on his and leans in, just a little –
and then colin draws back, snatching his hand out from underneath kang’s and scooting a solid inch away. he can’t be touching kang right now, not after he pulled that out of who-knows-where. “don’t say shit like that, dude,” he hisses, as if the words i missed you were a slur. he feels his head swimming – it’s like he’s been punched in the gut, or like he needs a smoke, or three, reallybadly, or like all those times in ibiza where he’d just kind of take a thing without knowing exactly what it did. “the hell you think you’re doing? what do you think this is?”
Kang chuckles, he isn’t exactly too sure about how much shorter he is than Colin, just that he’s shorter. Actually, now that he’s thinking about, he’s shorter than most of the males here at Seongnam University, isn’t he? Huh, weird, he never realized he’s short. He knows he’s shorter than the average french man, but he’s korean and koreans are shorter statistically, though he’s also shorter than the average korean male. It doesn’t bother him though, he’s not insecure about his height, he never has been, he usually doesn’t think too much about it. “A few centimeters sounds right yeah” the male agrees while nodding. “Wow, the “shorter than Colin club”? I’m honored” he answers back, a small chuckle escaping his lips.
Kang raises an eyebrow as Coling speaks, it takes him a second, or well, way more than a second to understand what Colin is saying, but when he finally understands the french he chuckles, thereafter a small “ouais” escapes his lips. Kang nods as Colin confesses his french accent isn’t the best, a quiet “yes” he answers back, though not loud enough to interrupt the other as they speak. Kang pouts his lips, ruffles a hand through his own hair and leans a little back as the other turns down the offer of seeing the eiffel tower together. “I guess there would be a lot of tourists” he begins, reaching out a hand to play with his own hair “if you won’t join me I’ll see it by myself then” he finishes his sentence with, removing his hand from his hair. “Am I supposed to trust you being alone with drunk me?” he jokes, “I don’t know any of the cool parts of France, I think I’d like visiting some countries and go clubbing with you though”.
“What are you like when you’re drunk?”
“Maybe I should visit Melbourne one day” I could make my uncle take me there, perhaps. Kang chuckles, rolls his eyes and then looks at Colin again, Colin got so much confidence, at least compared to Kang. “You do, I could probably stare into them for hours”
Kang flinches, surprised at the sudden reaction. He leans a little away from Colin, just because he’s confused as to what’s going on, he furrows his brows as the other male speaks, takes a good couple of seconds to figure out if he said something wrong, but he didn’t, did he? Kang takes a deep breath, just to calm the raising heart he had gotten from the sudden surprise, and then he feels just as calm as he did before. “It’s true though, I really liked my vacation and all but I missed Seongnam University. I missed my friends here, and I guess I consider you a friend”. Kang squints his eyes, perhaps that’s what he did wrong, he assumed they’re friends, perhaps Colin wants to be nothing more than just people who are on the same swim team “sorry”.
