What’s a minibang? 

A Big Bang (or “Bang” for short) is a specific type of challenge usually involving long fics and accompanying artwork. This type of challenge is a reprise of the old zine tradition of collaboration between artists and writers for internet fandoms.

Most Big Bangs have a similar format: Writers sign up to take part in the challenge and begin writing stories. When the early drafts of the stories are available, each one is assigned one or more artists, or artists might claim stories from posted summaries. Artists create fanart to go along with the story. This art can take the form of illustrations, manips, photo collages, vids, icon sets, etc. (Fanlore Wiki)

Minimum word count for fics is 1,500 words. Maximum 10,000 words.

Nothing rated E—this is an all-ages event!

If you have a problem with anything, tell the mods! We want this to be fun, so if you can’t get in contact with your partners or a life event comes up, reach out and we’ll talk.

The timeline:

Sign-ups open March 11 and close March 26th.

Claims for artists and beta readers open April 1 and close April 15th

like 5 years ago i had made a piece of fanart that was basically a roleswap for puck and sabrina (power swap? maybe?) so i decided to revistit that, nothing pleases me more than getting to see sabrina relax and be awful while puck suffers about losing magic abilities

@themightymagichead Here is your Christmas Present! I hope you like it, it’s Puck and Henry at a sporting event, I think it’s hockey, but interpret it as you like. Anyhoo, head cannon time. (forgive my lack of skills with tumblr, I don’t know how to make fancy bullet points.)

           Charming woke up Christmas morning with a scowl on his face and a pit in his stomach. He had never liked Christmas. It was a holiday centered around people pretending to be caring and giving just for appearances sake. Granted, he didn’t mind getting gifts. It was the expectation that he give other people gifts that irked him. Especially when they thought he had to give them something deep and meaningful. And then, to top it all off, people expected him to be cheery all day long and resorted to using “that’s not in the Christmas spirit” to guilt him into doing what they wanted.

           Really, the only excitement he had during that holiday was for the possibility of seeing Snow. Charming’s scowl turned into a frown as he got out of bed and headed towards the kitchen. Now that excitement was confusing. Who knew if it was a result of Bunny or if he actually wanted to see Snow?

           He stopped in the middle of the kitchen doorway and glanced at the table where he used to have breakfast with Mr. Seven. Where they used to exchange gifts. Mr. Seven’s would be deep and thoughtful, something Charming wanted, and Charming would just give him a watch (“to help you stay on time, idiot”) or deodorant (“you smell like a hobo”) or some other meaningless gift.  Charming dragged his gaze away from the table as the pit in his stomach grew, swallowing his appetite. His glance landed on the stack of Christmas cards and notes, some opened but most left alone. They all said the same thing anyway.

           He walked past the stack and headed into the living room, plopping down on one of the many plush couches. He settled down into the cushions and determined that he would pass the day with a mind numbing tv marathon.

           His day of quiet and solitude was soon shattered to pieces by the sound of someone knocking at the door. Charming dragged himself off the couch, muttering threats and curses underneath his breath, as he went to the door and opened it to find a miffed looking Sabrina Grimm scowling up at him.
