and yet, even after that, Mydei STILL trust Phainon, and firmly believes that he’s still alive. He still fully trust in Phainon’s capability to survive. i mean that’s a level a trust you don’t find easily. and that cutscene too- like, that “found you”? helloo?? we’re right here??? get a room please???

also, note that Algaea’s plan to make Mydei obtain the core flame was by putting Phainon in danger, let that sink in. Algaea’s, the women who’s supposed to be the leader of the chryso heirs and is supposed to be rly smart (although she had made a bunch of pretty stupid moves 💀) plan to get Mydei to take the core flame was putting Phainon, out of all people, in danger…bit gay huh

Case 2: their last convo. i mean, Mydei chose out of all people, to have Phainon, accompany him on on the last part of his journey. Also, not him using his last conversation with Phainon not mainly for himself, but to comfort Phainon…
