Because some of Yall are stretching simple messages into these evil intentions and making long ass dissections of the story as if you’re in English class desperately tryna make a short sentence long… for grades.

I think it really says something when you can acknowledge the critics of the show, feel yourself be pulled into the negative perspective, and then you listen to the writers explanation, or anyone who shares why they think certain scenes existed, and then the show makes perfect sense again.

Let me be clear, people who love Caitvi are not simply “clinging onto any representation” because I am confident even if I were given some other representation that felt similar I would STILL love this couple.

Do I feel like the writers put Caitlyns character at the front of the war zone and expected too much resilience and forgiveness from every fan? Yes honestly.

I am not telling everyone that they now have to like Caitlyn otherwise they’re lesbophobic. However what does make me feel ill is knowing these people if given the chance would SCRAP the couple from the screen . Yeeuck!

I think a really good example of how different you can make any perspective is this…

Caitlyn saying how she “didn’t have all the guards at the hex gates” to allow Jinx to escape…Was referred to as a manipulative tactic of hinting to Vi that despite her technical betrayal that backfired, being back with Caitlyn is somehow the only answer. As if that was some cynical message from Caitlyn. Lowkey how Yall sound ⬇️

When it comes to the scene where Cait snaps because the love of her life’s sister killed her own mother, and now that same love of her life is now physically holding her back while she is fired up from literally attempting to shoot that murderer!

(Jinx btw, in case you guys forgot to give her that title since we wanna use harsher labels for people but avoid Jinx for some reason?)

Caitlyn did not turn around and punch Vi in the face to be directly insulting, she wanted to shove Vi off her and used the back of her gun while being turned away from Vi which I think the writers chose for a reason. Would I tolerate this in real life? No because what we see in media is full of red flagged couples but heck movies are like that they aren’t realistic! Actors and characters are always more resilient.

Literally no one is trying to see what it would’ve been like to be kidnapped while naked, gun held to the head, and her Mother killed in front of her, and then having your lover insist “she can be fixed🥺” and then literally help FREE jinx💀

See how you can switch the perspective just like that? Yeah that when you acknowledge “ I didn’t like this show because of _________”

Like arcane is genuinely the ONE peice of media where I have felt is THE representation, there is NOTHING in wlw movies that gives us what they have.

Yeah I actually DONT feel like watching Portrait of a lady on fire ! No shade but not everything had to be poetic and slow. We had the Willow series- oh wait that got taken down too!What the writers added when Cait was spiralling doesn’t scrap the whole summary of the series. It feels like my precious little gift I’ve been given is being infected by some ugly cloud that has to be negative all the time.
