79: Iâve got a fucking headache. You?Â
75-a: Fuck if I know. Sâloud, mostly. Whoâre you?
He sat down across from them, the entire path between them and stared. Their eyes were making something itch, in his brain, but he couldnât really sort out what.
She just points to the plate with her designation on it in reply.
79: At least you talk with your brain like a NORMAL person. Whoâre you?
75-a: Scanner @ Crawlerâs Den, apparently. Was dumped here a bit ago.
He shrugged, stretching his legs out in front of him. He vaguely wondered if he could steal 79â˛s shit and ditch her before finding Diamond again. He kind of lacked a weapon to do it, though, so heâd have to find a good opportunity. On the other hand sheâd said something about a headache. Hm.
79: I got here today. Weird place. Where are you going? If you take me along you just have to outrun me, not any dangerous animals.
He snickered, drawing the blanket closer around his shoulders.
75-a: Dunno, yet, I think Iâll search for that ugly ass grey dude again, see what he found. You make a compelling argument, Youâll be allowed to stick around if you tell me what the fuck an animal is.
She thinks, pulling a face.
79: Something you eat.
Scanner blinked. He⌠didnât think food could chase anyone.
75-a: What the fuck kinda fruit do ya have to outrun?
She tilted her head, confused.
79: I didnât mention fruit?
75-a: okay but I also donât know nuts or grains that chase people. Iâm not so sure about fruits, yâknow, some of them are weird as fuck.Have you seen the ones that grow a fur on their peel?
She frowned, frustrated.
79: I mean meat! I didnât get to cook my own food.
Meat? He doesnât really⌠Nothing associated with the word pings âfoodâ. It frankly sounds pretty fucking gross. Food comes from trees or occassionally, fields, not things that can move on their own. Ew.
75-a: wat. who even eats dead things that sounds so fucking gross.
She shrugged uncomfortably.Â
79: Itâs gross but I have to cook it. Iâm not allowed to eat the fruit and nuts.
He blinks again, confused.
75-a: hell fucking yes you are. The fuck else are you supposed to eat?
79: Thereâs sugar gruel. I guess. I donât really remember.Â

Outskirts of Koh
Splitting up was a stupid idea. The town was buzzing just behind his back and it was incredibly distracting without someone actually in front of him to distract himself. Didnât matter now. Heâd just explore this part of town and the forest just beyond it and then annoy the ever loving shit out of the only guy he knew here.
He was still clinging to his bag, the blanket now loosely draped over his shoulders. Hm. If he just walked straight into the forest (apparently), would he find his way back? ⌠Well if he was lucky nowhere else close was a buzzing cluster of sensation, that was⌠pretty much his only way to navigate right now.
He peered into the darkness below the trees, Did he see something just now?
79 was curled up below a tree, trying to get a grip on herself. There had been too many people in the city, too much pressing on her. Now that she was out in the woods, though, she had the space in her head to realize how in over her head she was. She knew her name, she thought, she knew her job, she knew how to bake a loaf of bread and make a vat of pasta, but that was all she knew. She didnât think she liked not knowing things. With a shudder, she drew her bag closer, glaring out at whoever was walking past.
⌠huh. That person looked a lot like the bodies (corpses) he vaguely remembered. Except kind of lacking a bunch of holes. He liked them better without splashes of green everywhere.Â
Right, right. He should probably say something⌠maybe? And hope they wouldnât attempt to take his stuff or bite him or whatever.
He pinged in their direction, approaching very, very slowly.Â
75-a: ?
She tensed up, but the approaching person wasnât startling her, at the least. And as weird as everyone else was, it was good to see someone normal and safe-looking. She should greet them.
79: Your legs make you look like an asshole.
Nailed it.

Test, test, test. Whatâs up, buttercup!
Well not you, considering how short you areÂ
Youâre going to break those ridiculous legs of yours, and Iâm going to laugh.
If I do Iâll just walk on my hands and beat people up with my legs. Itâs a foolproof plan. It will work, youâll see.
But⌠how can it be a foolproof plan, Scanner, when youâre the fool whoâs having it? :(
did I say foolproof I meant fool-proved, because I may be a fool but I am gonna prove that being tall > being cute.
:o You said Iâm cute! But Iâm sorry, youâre too freakishly tall for me. You almost look human with those legs!
