they didn't even riff on the energy conversion aspect of his powers and how it could've been seen as him emitting less heat energy

this is way cool and entirely too smart for the writers room of s4. they were just thinkin “ooog fire blast orange”. the heat thing is so badass

not to mention keeping it centered on energy conversion would give them a free out for why his powers are seemingly disconnected from the sound basis they had before. it’s literally so easy but they ignored it 😭

They thought his white violin powers were too feminine, so they made them orange because orange is a manly color. Or something.
