Sonny didn't care much for "making friends" or "networking", as Harvey called it. It was hard for him to, considering how he looked. Everyone just expected him to be the next Two-Face. The next tragedy in a crowd of freaks.
Sonny sat on a seesaw at Robinson Park. The playground equipment had long since been covered with plants, thick vines holding down one end of the seesaw. He knew he was intruding upon her space, but he didn't particularly care. He wasn't hurting any of the plants, so he hoped she would tolerate him just until he decided to go home.
He clutched a burger in his hands, lanky fingers clasped around the paper wrapper. Gotham rarely had good burger places anymore, Sonny had thought to himself. Just about every establishment was run by some villain, and the ones that weren't were typically vandalized or burnt down.
Sonny laid down against the seesaw, the cool metal seeping through his clothes and freezing his back. He watched the sun slowly set as he absentmindedly chewed on his burger, feeling the gradual rays of warmth leave his face and leaving a thick, dark shadow behind.
