I find all of the new Will Smith hatred laughable. This is a dude who's been a consummate professional throughout his career. He's a husband and a father who's fiercely devoted to his family. Never in trouble with the law. Given away millions of dollars to charitable organizations and businesses in his community. At or near the top of his profession for almost 30 years. An inspiration to millions. Miss me COMPLETELY with trying to bury this dude for a single moment where there was a lapse in judgement fraught with emotion. I'm not gonna forget his many accomplishments and accolades over a man who felt a need to protect his family but went about it the wrong way. He absolutely could've handled it better and his actions were inexcusable. But I'm not gonna condemn a dude for acting out of love, even if it seems misguided. Sure he's gonna get ridiculed and shunned by some, that comes with the territory. But it's beyond hypocrisy to try to act like this somehow wipes out his legacy.
