You can't recall anything before age ten, and you don't need to. It wasn't until then that Arceus chose you to be his divine servant, after all. He granted you an adventurous life of traveling between timelines to carry out tasks on his behalf, and in the process, you gained many admirers who wanted nothing more than to have you.
Your job as Arceus's servant kept you out of their clutches, until one day, the timelines mysteriously merge together into one. The various regions collide into a distorted amalgamation, which drives the wild Pokémon mad with distress, and spreads chaos throughout the land. Arceus’s guidance suddenly vanishes, and now you're the only one who can solve this issue– but it's difficult to focus when your old flames are circling you, since they've realized that they've got competition… and you're cornered with no way to escape them this time.

A Gigantamax Tyranitar is attacking the city! Which Pokémon will you choose to battle it?
Crobat
Gengar
Froslass
Voting ended onMar 24
I'd give you more options, but there's a reason why I picked these ones in particular. Totally definitely absolutely not related to next chapter... just a random haha funny hypothetical... for sure😏
Includes... Pokémon Legends ZA, major Corbeau/Taunie/Urbain, minor Volo/Iono/Canari/Raihan, more characters/settings will be introduced in chapter 3 probably!!
Chapter 1 / Chapter 3 coming soon!
“Wait! Don't go!”
Taunie snatches your wrist. You hadn't even been walking away at that point, but she grabs your shirt like she's trying to stop you from falling off a building. (As if she wouldn't know anything about that…)
Urbain and Corbeau follow after. Urbain just barely stops himself from grabbing you, upon seeing that his counterpart already beat him to it. Corbeau bristles. “What is it with you two and putting your hands on my spouse?”
He cuts in between and steps back, forcing sizable distance between you and your friends. He looks back at you, noting the Arc Phone that you hold tight, and speaks in a low tone so they can't hear. “Are you trying to get into contact with Him?”
“Yo, are you talking about Arceus?” Urbain says.
Your husband underestimated how nosy they both are, though.
Corbeau's mouth drops. “How do you–?!”
“They told me about it, duh. We're really close– ‘cause you know, we're dating and all that– and I know everything.” Now he shifts towards you, sporting a determined expression. “That symbol on your hand is Arceus's mark on you, because you're his servant. He told you it was supposed to keep you safe, but the ones who recognize it usually see it as a reason to hate you rather than respect you. But you still do everything he says. And–”
“--and you can never answer when someone asks you if you like being his servant.” Taunie finishes. The rise and fall of her chest is heavy enough to be noticeable now.
Urbain narrows his eyes and clenches his fists. “How do you do that…? How do you know everything I'm about to say next?”
“I dunno.” She speaks towards him, but stares at you. “Were you just about to ask them why they can't bear to admit we used to be together?”
He follows her gaze. “Yeah, yeah I was, actually.”
You're frozen in place. You can't decide who to look at, what to say, or even if you should stay by your husband or go towards them. Corbeau raises his chin. Deep resentment builds within his eyes. “I won't let you gang up on them like this–”
“Wait!” You hold him back. He scolds you with a silent glare, and for a second you regret stopping him. But you know you'll regret it even more if you don't defend them when you know they're just confused… and hurt.
“It's okay. I know you guys are just annoyed. I wasn't trying to be difficult on purpose, because…” You still can't decide who to look at. What can you say to keep the peace? “...I do remember that we were together.”
“Were?!” The two say simultaneously, while Corbeau's silent glare burns through you. He presses himself into your side like he's trying to burrow within you.
Okay, that did not keep the peace. You shake your head. “It's really hard to explain…”
“Just try! Please! That's all we're asking!” Taunie cries.
After a long pause, you finally say, “Well… I know I told you about Arceus, and that he chose me to be his servant so I could help people on his behalf. But… for me to do that, I had to do a lot of traveling. And not just to different regions.”
Your lips clamp shut before you can continue. Why the hesitation? If anyone will believe you, it's them. But…
Harsh flashbacks pop up in your mind. Jealousy, hatred, and violence that you're all too familiar with.
…that's not the only issue, is it…
You've already started explaining, though. It's too far to turn back now. And besides, if you want to have any chance of fixing this, you'll need help from your friends while Arceus is…
Your thumb brushes over your scar.
But until then, you'll need people on your side. And they can't help if they don't know what's going on.
“Arceus sends me across timelines. When there's a new problem to be solved, he sends me there.” You turn away, unable to face any of them. “So that's why you guys are remembering different things; you're literally from separate timelines where different things happened.”
“Timelines?” Urbain gapes. Taunie almost said the same thing, but she caught herself when she saw him moving to speak first.
Corbeau's eyes wander as his mind connects the dots. They slowly return back to you, uncertain. “So then… Did Arceus merge the timelines?”
You only respond with a confused gaze, so he motions towards them with his head. “He had to, right? Or else those two wouldn't be here.”
Now your thumb digs into your scar. “...Arceus?”
“Yeah. It makes sense. It explains why I never recognized her, despite her apparently having history with us.” He glances at Urbain as well. “And that would mean you're not the same Urbain I know, either. He was irritating and way too attached to my spouse, too, but nothing like you.”
Urbain returns his glare before sighing in defeat. “I don't like what you just said there, but everything else makes sense. What if that's why all the regions came together, too?”
“What if that's why the Pokémon are acting so weird, too?” Taunie says. “What if some of them aren't just angry because their habitat was displaced– but their timeline was, too?”
“But Arceus wouldn't do this... Why would He ruin the world He created?” You say with more intensity than you meant to, but it doesn't do much to change their looks. You continue, “If it was Him… It had to have been a mistake.”
“Can a god make mistakes?” Corbeau crosses his arms.
“I know that sounds crazy. But I think that maybe… he got hurt somehow,” you insist. “We spoke in my dreams just last night. Everything was fine at first, but all of a sudden, he stopped talking and the whole thing turned into a nightmare. And then when I woke up, the world was a total nightmare too.”
He motions towards your Arc Phone. “But you tried connecting with Him?”
“I tried.”
“Which means He's not answering, then.” His head drops to the side, eyebrows furrowed. He looks back up. “You don't have any ideas as to what happened? What could've hurt Him?”
In a flash, it's like you're there again.
Standing on the hard ground with this man below you on his knees, one arm wrapped around your legs and the other guiding your scarred hand to caress his face. He kisses your palm and grazes his teeth like he wants to sink them into you.
“Arceus must want me to find Him after all. He wouldn't have sent you to me again, again, and again if He didn't.” He looks up at you through wisps of his blonde hair, which had been styled into a sick mockery of your only guardian. You shudder every time you see it. He grins.
“That's why I'll always follow you. You will lead me to Him.” He digs his nails into your hand until its golden light pulses. His pupils dilate. “That'll be your first act as my servant.”
The sound of someone saying your name snaps you out of your thoughts. Corbeau stares at you expectantly, and you reply. “...I have an idea of who would want to do it, at least. But he's from another timeline.”
“Hey, sorry to interrupt, but I'm kinda losing my mind after that huge lore drop you just bombed us with and moved on from really quick.” Urbain points between himself and Taunie. “So you're saying that she and I are just from different timelines where we were dating you?”
Sheepishly, you nod.
“And since you remember us both right now, you don't ever lose your memories when you're traveling timelines?”
“No, I wouldn't be as strong of a trainer if Arceus took my memories and I couldn't remember my past experiences.”
Taunie beats him to the punch this time. “So why'd you date us both?”
You don't have time to react before she closes in. “I mean, I guess I didn't exist in some timelines, so you had to settle for that instead–”
“That? You realize we're probably like, the same person, right?” Urbain grits his teeth.
“I wouldn't even care as much if you dated him. That'd be like the next best thing if I didn't exist!” Her voice wavers. “But then you married Corbeau in this timeline! Why?!”
“Why?” Corbeau repeats with venom. He scoffs. “They don't have to defend themselves to you, and I don't have to listen to your stupidity. Why are you wasting your time asking dumb questions anyway? Don't you have a city to defend– one of you, anyway, whoever's in charge now.”
His comment makes Taunie and Urbain glare at each other. They have a whole argument with their eyes, one you can't decipher, but evidently Taunie is the one who wins. She spins back towards you.
“We can talk it out later, I guess. I just–” She squeezes her eyes shut before forcing them back open, joined with a smile. “Just don't shut me out, okay? I wanna help you out any way I can.”
She's pleading. You know her well enough to know that. And how can you deny that pretty face you once fell in love with?
“I won't. I think for now, just help keep the Wild Zones contained so Lumiose doesn't get as bad as everywhere else.”
“Okay! That's a really good idea!” She reaches forward like she's about to hug you, but Corbeau's sharp glare stops her. She tugs on jacket collar before forcing that smile back on her face. “So can we call tonight?”
“They'll be busy,” Corbeau says.
“I'll try.” You nudge your husband, who only rolls his eyes. After a reluctant goodbye, Taunie leaves the building.
Urbain doesn't move.
“What?” Corbeau hisses.
He stutters for a moment before saying, “I just wanted to know if there's anything I can do to help you too!”
Ah. Of course him, too. “Well… I saw someone get injured really badly on the way over here. Just go around the city and see if you can find anyone else like that who needs help.”
"Okay! So later, can we call–” His eyes widen and he bites his tongue. “Blegh– nevermind. We'll just talk later. See you.”
He turns to leave, but stops so he can look back between you and Corbeau, who he eyes suspiciously. “And if you need anything else–"
“Leave! Now!”
“Jeez! Anger issues!” Urbain glances at you. “So this is your man now, huh?”
Urbain escapes before Corbeau can shout again. His fists shake as he watches the door shut with a loud thump. It's not until you touch his shoulder that he stills, and releases it all with a heavy sigh. He turns back to you.
He takes your chin to guide you to his eyes. “Why do those two need your permission to do anything?”
You still can't quite meet his gaze, though. “Stories from other timelines.”
His grip on your chin tightens as he leans forward, until you can't look at anything else but him. “Make sure you remind them who you're married to.”
“...I know.” You examine him carefully. “Are you okay?”
Corbeau tightens his lips for a moment until finally releasing you. “Yeah… Right now, we need to handle what’s happening. You said you know someone who'd want to hurt Arceus? He should be here if there was a merge, right?”
You nod begrudgingly. “Yeah, but I still have no idea how I'm gonna find him… He's the type to hide.”
“Well, we can make this situation work to our advantage. Since all the regions are now one, that gives him less space to hide. Come with me.” He leads you back inside his office so he can sit back in front of his laptop. “Give me his description. I'll have everyone in the Rust Syndicate and its associates looking for him.”
As you do that, he pulls up a map of the new world. It's similar to the one shown on the news, not much better in quality, probably since it's so new.
But after examining it, you realize the new world is still just too damn big. As much as you respect Corbeau's power, his influence only reaches so far. You think back to his words. Make the situation work to our advantage…
He stops typing. You gaze at him. “What’s wrong?”
He meets your gaze with a sharp one. “One of my grunts just sent me a message saying that they ran into somebody from your search party.”
“My what?”
“That’s what I’m asking you.” He deadpans.
“How would I know what–” you cut yourself off. After a pause of thought, you take your phone back out and open your social media.
The #1 Trending Tag is #championsearchparty. The #2 Trending Tag is #championmandelaeffect. You check the first thread you find– one of many that tags you in it.
bro i can’t be the only one who clearly remembers them being unova’s champion for years right. So why y’all saying that they’re hoenn’s champion when i swear to arceus that they’re literally not.

Look who’s been here with me this whole time! Took this just a few days ago even!! Stay mad!!! <3
You almost drop your phone at what you see. It's an image of you and Canari walking through Lumiose City and holding hands, looking up at the Rotom Phone that had flown above your heads to get the high angle. For you, it's like someone finding a forgotten vintage photo in their grandparents’ attic. But for her, it was just last week.
Canari's response was so recent that Iono hadn't even answered yet, but plenty of others had.
↳ I. WHAT.
↳ Bruh why are you surprised, everyone knows canari is dating them
↳ I DIDNT??? BC THEYRE ON ALL OF IONOS STREAMS AND SHES ALWAYS TALKING ABOUT DATING THEM

↳ Welp the shippers are doxxing people again, internet is officially back to a war zone. Time to log off and touch grass– oh wait the world is basically a war zone too rn haha imma kms [gif]
You stop and stare at the one reply that stands out among the rest.
↳ OMG @.raihan! LOOK??? THEY’RE IN LUMIOSE SEND THE WHOLE SEARCH PARTY RN!!!
“What are you looking at?” Corbeau peers over your shoulder and sneers at what he sees. “Who’s Raihan and why is he looking for you?”
“He's… another person I used to be close with. In another timeline.”
Corbeau refuses to look away from your screen as you tap on Raihan's account. His profile picture is still that photo of you wearing his hoodie and wrapped up in his arms. Your username is tagged in his bio, next to the words ‘taken!’
You wilt.
“Another one?” Corbeau pulls your phone closer to him. His expression gets more venomous as he studies Raihan's face, like he's disgusted by what he sees. He makes you set it down and look at him again. “How often is this gonna happen?”
Oh shit, you realize. How often is this gonna happen?!
“I don't know.” You cringe.
“Then you need to tell everyone that you're taken– mine. Fast.”
The way he grips your wrist makes you shift uncomfortably. “How am I supposed to tell everyone at once when…”
You trail off as Raihan's photo catches your eye again. His most recent post, in which he asked all his fans to search for you since you mysteriously disappeared from his side, had gained millions of likes in barely a day.
Ah. So that's how.

Heyy, just wanted to see if your asks were open? I don't want to accidentally send ya something if it's closed...
I just read your new fanfic, Servant of Arceus, and I just wanted to ask; With us being a acolyte of Arceus, do we have similar abilities to the people in canon who are connected to it? Other than the phone. Like the movie Hoopa and the clash of ages?
Also if it's not to spoiler-ey, will there be characters from other regions present as well? I'd love to see Lysandre, but if that's not your story, then that's fine! It's super interesting and I had to ask.
omg hi!! Thanks for the ask!! I'll take any opportunity to blab about my fanfic 💞
First off I haven't seen that movie in so long?!?! I had to watch it again before I could properly answer this since I couldn't remember anything about it. I must have remembered it subconsciously though cuz there are quite a few similarities... 🤭 But it would be a spoiler if I went into detail about that. I will say that if (Y/N) can do anything like the acolytes in the movie can, they're certainly not aware of it right now. Arceus is a mysterious God, even to the one He's closest to.
And yes, there's definitely gonna be characters from other regions!! I'm going for Avengers Endgame level of crossover lol. I hadn't actually considered Lysandre before, but he might fit in pretty well with a later plot point I have in mind... he's giving gilf vibes in Legends ZA too so maybe I should add him LMAO
Then again I'll have to figure out how Corbeau would react to you fucking his father figure in a past timeline... 💀 Though I've been thinking about adding (more) platonic yanderes too, so that's another option. Much to consider!!
BROO
NOT PUTTING N IN HERE IS A CRIME
PUT MY GRASS HAIR HUSBAND INTO THE CHARACTER LIST
😭
I never played Black&White so I just didn't think of him when I first made that (´・з・) BUT I know he's popular and I do think he's cool so y'know what?? Your grass hair husband will appear 😎 (at some point, with varying degree of importance, it depends on how well he ends up fitting in and how much you guys like him). I'm writing this story as I go so IDK I'm winging it!!! and hoping it turns out well!!! yay!!!!!!!!!
Includes... Pokemon Legends ZA / Corbeau, Urbain, Taunie / mentions of blood / Corbeau can and WILL speak French bc I said so / I actually haven't played every Pokémon game so I'm telling you right now that there's gonna be some OOC moments and incorrect details. Oh well
Prologue / Chapter 2! is!! here!!!
You jolt awake with hot sweat clinging to your skin. Your body aches from the abrupt movement, like you've been twisted in the same position for hours. The silk sheets beneath you contrast with the scratchy feeling inside your throat, like something was trying to claw its way out of there while you were sleeping.
Pushing through the pain, you turn on your side and see that the bed is big enough to have an empty space next to you– and a nightstand full with items like a glasses case and a photo of… oh.
A professionally-taken photo of you and Corbeau at your wedding ceremony. You check your hand– the same one with your scar on it, as Corbeau had insisted on putting it there– and you flinch when you see your wedding ring still present.
An exhausted noise falls from your lips. At least you know you're still in the most recent timeline, so whatever that hellish experience was must have been one of those stress nightmares Corbeau keeps telling you to see a doctor about.
Because if it wasn't just a dream… if it was real…
Your Arc Phone rings from the nightstand on your side of the bed. Rotom Phones would just pick up the call and fly to your side immediately, but no, you're stuck with this old thing that can't even fit in your pocket. Yeah, it has divine power and all that, but what's the point if it takes up a third of the space in your bag? You answer the call.
“Good evening, mon amour.” Corbeau's smooth voice washes over you until you relax. “Did I wake you?”
You play with the phone case absent-mindedly, trying and failing to take it off. Damn, did Arceus superglue this thing together? You shrug. “Not really.”
“I'm glad. I was worried you'd stay in bed all day. You were tossing and turning last night, so I figured I should let you sleep in and not bother you,” he says. “That's why I didn't want to call you like this, but we've got trouble at the office.”
You almost roll your eyes at yourself. Considering your sore muscles and dry throat, you probably did stay in bed all day, and you can see from the clock that it's almost nighttime. You barely hold back your groan. “What now?”
“Ahh, I know you're still tired. I'm sorry.” He speaks through gritted teeth. “I tried to tell these foolish kids that, but they're too damn stubborn to listen. It's Urbain, and some girl I've never met before, but she claims to know you too.”
You quirk an eyebrow at that. Before you ask about her, he huffs under his breath. “I expected this kind of stunt from him, but to get it from a stranger too… Hah, just how popular are you?”
“Haha… Y'know, you always give Urbain such a hard time.”
“You know why I do,” he grumbles. “Anyway, I would've driven them away myself, but they're being delusional right now. It's hard to explain, but I need you here to help convince them to leave. So I'm sending Philippe to pick you up.”
Uh oh. You get up and start getting dressed. “You don't have to, it's not that far. I can just walk.”
“Don't. It's not safe right now–” The muffled sound of angry yells cut him off.
“Can't you wait more than two minutes?! I'll let you in once I'm finished!” His sharp tone lowers back into the smooth one. “Look, just wait for Philippe. We'll talk about everything once you're here, so be safe. Je t’aime.”
You pause. It takes a moment, but a smile eventually graces your face. “I… love you too. I will.”
That's enough to satisfy him, and he ends the call. You release a shaky breath.
♡ ♡ ♡
“Was taking the car really necessary? The office is only like two blocks away.” You say as you climb into the sleek black car that bears the Rust Syndicate logo on it.
Philippe starts driving the moment you secure your seatbelt. He says, “Usually we wouldn’t use it at all, but we keep it for emergencies.”
“Oh yeah? What’s the emergency?” You roll the window as you speak. You lean out and take in a deep breath of fresh Kalosian air– but it's only relaxing until the distant sound of sirens fill your ears. A squad of ambulances rush away in the horizon.
“Don't do that,” he demands, pulling you inside by your wrist before rolling the window up from his side. “It's not even really safe for anyone to be out here to begin with.”
Your attention darts back and forth between Philippe and the ambulances, making you shift in your seat. “Corbeau was trying to tell me that too. Why?”
He opens his mouth to answer– but slams the break instead. You jolt forward and hiss as the seatbelt digs into your chest. Before you can curse him out, your jaw drops at the sight of what's ahead.
Hydreigon's furious roars practically shake the ground. The crowd of trainers below nearly fall, but they stay standing to support their attacking Pokémon. A Clefable lands a Moonblast and makes Hydreigon crash against the apartment behind it, shattering windows and crumbling bricks. With a snarl, the middle head releases a Dragon Pulse. Clefable braces for impact.
Only to hit its trainer instead.
The trainer goes flying back against the concrete. Blood spills beneath their head.
Philippe grips the steering wheel. He slams the gas and makes a sharp turn down another road before Hydreigon can take notice of you. You turn around to watch as the scene gets further away.
“What are you doing?! Turn back! Those people need our help!” You tug on your seatbelt.
“I know. I'll come back for them once I drop you off safely.” He clenches his jaw, also watching the scene in the rear view mirror. While the other trainers cover them, the Clefable rushes towards their trainer with tears in its eyes.
You hit the dashboard. “No! Let me come with you!”
“Mr. Corbeau gave me strict orders not to let you out.”
“But–”
“Quiet! I don't want to see what that man will do to me if anything happens to you.” You're about to argue, but your mouth clamps shut as memories of your husband resurface… Ugh. Why did you have to marry a mob boss in this timeline?!
Still, you can't tear your gaze from the back window, even though his speedy driving has already taken you far down the detour. You say, “What was a Hydreigon doing out there anyway? Did it escape the wild zone? Why–”
Your breath catches in your throat, still scratchy and sore. You swallow hard. “Is Hydreigon even native to Kalos?"
“It’s… very rare. But it’s definitely not supposed to be in the Wild Zones, let alone even near Lumiose City.” Philippe side-eyes you. “You didn't hear the news about what happened, did you?”
“No? Don’t tell Corbeau, but I've been sleeping all day.”
He snorts at that. “Only if he doesn't ask. Now Rotom, pull up the news channel.”
His Rotom Phone flies out of his pocket and hovers in front of your face, instantly bringing up the live video. You mutter under your breath. “I've really gotta get one of these things.”
“--Now people are reporting crazy things like Alola's volcanos sitting right on top of Sinnoh's mountain range, and the complex wild areas of Paldea have been scattered about in regions that have simpler geography like Johto, so the people there are completely unequipped to deal with it! Don't even get me started on the Galar region– they've got teams of trainers struggling to defend their cities from the Dynamax Pokémon trying to destroy them!” The broadcaster shouts. “This feels like a full-on war between people and Pokémon!”
They're referring to a satellite image as their map. It's grainy, and you've got no idea what it's supposed to be. You can make out familiar details when you squint– a skyline that resembles Castelia City but in the completely wrong spot from where it should be on a map, or long strips of water reminiscent of Hoenn's routes but they're scattered across the land like varicose veins bulging out. Details that should easily help you decide which region this map belongs to, but–
The screen switches to a reporter sitting at her desk. “For the first time in decades, parents are scared to let their young trainers explore the wilds. And it's all thanks to the disaster that occurred earlier today in which space-time distortions appeared across the world and brought each region together into one.”
…what.
Social media posts pop up one after another on the screen, showing videos that people took of the distortions that occurred nearby them. It makes your blood run cold as the reporter continues. “In result of the collision, many people and Pokémon have been displaced from their homes. While citizens are in a hurry to find new shelter, wild Pokémon are now often being found in places they shouldn't be, and their new behaviors are quite disturbing.”
Then Professor Oak appears on screen. You almost exclaim in recognition, but you stop yourself when you see Philippe watching you from the corner of his eye.
“Wild Pokémon had a habit of stopping the battle once the trainer's Pokémon fainted, you see. They were able to recognize that the threat was gone and they would give the trainer time to run away. But now, when I watch the battles that people have captured on video so far, I see nothing but pure fear in their eyes!” He says. “And it never goes away, even once the trainer's Pokémon have fainted. That's why they'll keep attacking until… their opponent is no longer breathing. And even then, they still don't feel safe.”
The interviewer behind the camera chimes in. “Some people have reported them targeting humans rather than other Pokémon. Can you comment on this?”
“Yes, well, many Pokémon are rather aware of their own strength. The weaker Pokémon stick to battles they feel like they can handle, but stronger Pokémon know we can't win against them,” he says with a grave expression.
“But why would they attack humans in the first place? This level of widespread violent behavior has never been recorded among Pokémon before.”
He releases a sad sigh. “Adrenaline is a likely factor. The stress of their habitats being destroyed probably doesn't allow them to think clearly. But also… I believe some kind of foul play must be at hand here.”
“Can you elaborate?”
“Our world was not designed with the idea of people and Pokémon opposing each other. A movement like this is simply unnatural in the universe. That's why I believe that whatever chaotic force caused our regions to collide against each other, must be the same force that caused our Pokémon to act out like this.” He shakes his head. “It's a tragedy for certain. I fear that, now that they've no inhibition to hold them back, we may all witness the truly terrifying power of Pokémon firsthand.”
The screen cuts back to the reporter. She's quiet for a few moments, like they usually are after cuts in these live broadcasts, but it's enough to make you sit on the edge of your seat. Eventually, she speaks. “Strong trainers are encouraged to help the containment efforts if they come across any wild Pokémon in abnormal places. But do not engage if your Pokémon aren't at least level sixty or above, and stay home.”
You finally stop biting your lip, which you hadn't even realized you'd been doing. But she's still not done yet.
She leans closer to the camera. “But many questions are still left unsolved: What is this phenomenon? How long will it last, if not for the rest of our lives? Is this a large-scale natural disaster, or are there mysterious, powerful forces somewhere out there to blame for it? We'll keep you updated as researchers are hard at work–”
You push Rotom out of your sight. A bitter taste burns your tongue. “I've seen enough."
With a sad buzz, it turns off and flies back into Philippe's pocket. He taps the steering wheel. “Can't blame you. The good thing for us is that Lumiose is still relatively safe compared to other places– so far, anyway. I heard that the further you go out from here, the worse it gets.”
“Oh, great. I had enough trouble convincing Corbeau to let me leave the city for a vacation as it is.” You facepalm.
"I might have to agree with him, considering all this is going on. Even for someone like you–” he pauses, glancing at your golden scar. “--going out on your own isn't a bright idea. All the Pokémon are scared and confused after what happened… No wonder they're so pissed off. The humans are the same way too. And despite what that professor said, I'm not sure which one is worse.”
Silence overtakes the car. Thoughts run through your head, primarily snippets of the news and images of the battle that took place before you. Especially the image of that Trainer's blood spilling from their head, replaying over and over again like a broken record.
You press down on your scar like that'll stop you from trembling. Your voice doesn't even sound confident in your mind. Arceus, what's going on?
…
You hold your breath.
But you can't do it for long before you arrive at the Rust Syndicate headquarters. Philippe drops you off and rushes back to help the people you encountered. You shudder, knowing very well that he could be too late. It takes everything in you not to run after him and enter the building instead.
The hallways are eerily empty. All of the grunts are no doubt gone working overtime during an event like this, but knowing that doesn't stop you from tensing. When you arrive outside the office, you hear the same arguing voices you did over the phone.
“I'm here!” You yell, interrupting them. “Philippe had to drop me off ‘cause he had to go help some people in trouble, but– can I come in?”
It's quiet. Then, Corbeau responds. “Please do.”
So you enter. Only to be yanked forward the moment you do.
“There you are!” It's Urbain, his hands reaching up to cup your face. “I was looking for you literally everywhere!”
“Hands off!” Corbeau's shout makes your attention snap towards him. He digs his fingers into his desk, directing his glare towards you instead. “By my side. Now.”
Suddenly, you totally get what Philippe was talking about before. You float across the room until you're standing next to him beside his seat. But another voice protests, “Why are you listening to him…?!”
You freeze. Slowly, you turn back, and you gasp at what you see.
“Taunie?”
Her shocked expression changes to a smug smile. She laughs gently, playing with a strand of hair as she shifts towards Urbain. “See? Didn't I say they'd recognize me?”
Urbain gestures in your direction. “Does that look like a face that recognizes you?”
“They just said my name! Aren't you listening?” She scowls. “And it didn't really seem like they recognized you, considering they left you the moment Corbeau told them to!”
You're seeing double. They stand close enough together that you can easily compare them, and damn, they could be twins. But even if you hadn't experienced them both in different timelines before, you'd probably know better than that– from the way their hair frames their faces to the energetic auras they both emit, it's easy to think they're the same person. And they are.
Or… they were. You thought so. Because if they truly were, they wouldn't glare at each other like they're on the verge of strangling each other.
“How are you both here…?” is the only thing you can manage to say in your astonishment. Because they can't both exist in the same timeline. They can't. They never had before, and Arceus has always given you predictability in every repeated timeline.
“So you do know her after all,” Corbeau notes. “But even so, that doesn't explain the repulsive delusions that either of them are trying to spit out at me.”
“Delusions?”
He huffs. “Your friend Urbain seems to think he's your boyfriend…”
“Because I am!” He shoves his hands in his jacket pockets.
“And this girl, who I've never met before but acts like I have, seems to think she's your girlfriend as well.”
“Aren't I?” She insists towards you, before tugging on her jacket collar nervously. “Unless, somehow, all this is just to say that you've been seeing other people.”
Everyone's head snaps up at you. You nearly have a heart attack. “I– what?!”
“Seriously, why do you look so confused?” She approaches the desk until she can lean over and get close to your face. “Just last night, you said you loved me…”
“They were with me last night. The whole time,” Corbeau seethes.
“There's actually no way this is happening,” Urbaine huffs before joining Taunie at the desk. He motions between himself and you. “We were together last night! We watched movies and I cooked for you and you fell asleep on my shoulder! You don't remember any of that?”
You do. You remember all of it, everything they say. They're memories from past timelines that you were forced to bury away after Arceus snatched you up and dropped you in the next mission, one after another. Which means…
You look between each of them, horror growing on your face. ...They have to be from separate timelines.
That's the scary thing. They're all dying to be proven right by you, but there's no good way to tell them that they all are.
“Okay, first off–” you point between Taunie and Urbain. “--how did you guys meet each other?”
“I don't like it when you change the subject like that, but…” She seems eager to glare at Urbain. “I couldn't find you when I woke up this morning, so I looked around, and I came back to find this creep walking into my bedroom!”
“That's exactly what happened to me, except you were walking into my bedroom. But I don't care about that right now.” He turns back to you. “Why weren't you there when I woke up? Why are you here of all places?”
Corbeau pushes his glasses up. “Well, that's part of why I called them over here. So I could have solid proof neither of could ignore.”
Before anyone can question what he means, he takes your hand and brings it up to the light. Your wedding wing sparkles, just in time with his own. Taunie and Urbain gasp in unison.
“You see now?” Corbeau smirks. He leaves a soft kiss on your knuckles before resting your hand back at your side. “Why would they have been anywhere else but with me?”
Taunie's voice trembles. “Since when did you guys…?”
“Since never!” Urbain's confidence dies quickly, though. “I mean, he forced you to marry him, right? I get you're probably not allowed to say anything, but he must've– ugh-- kidnapped you or something! He's probably just mad at me for not paying my debt by myself!”
Taunie's stiff shoulders drop. “Wait, you borrowed money from him too?”
Corbeau raises an eyebrow, settling his chin on his hands. “I never lent money to you.”
“Yes you did! That's how you met…” She swallows hard, eyeing your wedding ring again. “...and they were the one who paid my interest off!”
“Huh? They paid off my interest, too!"
Now they're all looking at you again. You open your mouth to speak, but nothing can come out. You can only stare down at your scar, desperately.
Eventually, Taunie brings her gaze back to Urbain. She examines him in a way she had neglected to before, and what she sees makes her face twist with terror. “That's not… my mom's jacket, is it?”
His jaw drops. He clenches it in his hands, turning away from her. “No freaking way. This is my mom's jacket…!”
“I need a moment,” you interrupt, already walking towards the door.
“Excuse me? Where are you going?” Corbeau stands up.
“Bathroom,” is all you say before you escape. You pull out your Arc Phone as you speed down the hallway. You never used this thing to communicate with Him before; you never needed to. But if nothing else is working, you have no choice but to open the messenger–
You skid to a halt. Your grip on the phone tightens so much it could break. Apparently, you must've silenced all your notifications, except Corbeau's.
Because your notifications are flooded with texts and calls from people who shouldn't even know you exist in this timeline.

It's CRAZY that I already have to post something like this since this blog has barely existed for two days, but someone already attempted to scam my account and I wanna raise awareness bc if I hadn't thought it through, I may have fallen for it.
The tl;dr is that a user told me they accidentally reported my account and that it would be deleted very soon if I didn't contact tumblr support on Discord... except, there is no such thing as tumblr support on Discord. (Bro, there's barely any tumblr support on tumblr itself 😭) Apparently, if I had went forward with this scam, they would've tried tricking me into buying something so I can "prove my identity" to "save my account". They're trying to get money out of you by using fear and panic against you, and it's scummy.
If the user gleefullyviscousmonument (most ai generated username ever; it's probably just some realistic-looking bots running around doing this) or anyone else tries to tell you something along these lines, block and report them!
Comments they left on my posts:
They also sent a realistic-looking screenshot in DMs, just to really sell the story
Warnings: Horror-ish content I guess, Pokémon death, pretty short :P good yandere stuff happens in the first chapter
Chapter 1 out now!
The scar on your dominant hand aches with heat. Light warms your face, tempting you to awaken. But you know better. Your eyes remain shut, letting you hiding within the dark silence for as long as you can.
Your scar gets hotter.
Ignore it.
Sweat rolls down your forehead.
Ignore it.
Your nose twitches. What's that? The familiar scent of burning flesh–
Ignore it–!
You gasp and your eyes pop open. A shining golden light in the blue sky greets you, making your gaze flinch away. A breeze suddenly hits you, wrapping around your boiling skin like a cool embrace. You’re comfortable, finally, in the cradle of the grassy hill you’re lying on.
Groggily, your eyes flutter open again and examine the sky once more. The golden light has calmed down now, to the point where one could mistake it for the sun; you can look at it now, but only for a few seconds before it burns too bright. White fluffy clouds float by and the shrill cries of bird Pokemon circling above you reverberates in your ears.
You look down at your hand. The scar has calmed down as well, but its golden ring never truly stops shining. You cover it up with your other hand and bring it to your chest. You hold in your sigh, not bothering to glance up.
“So where am I this time, Arceus?”
“A region thou hast yet to explore.”
His powerful voice rings within your mind. He never hesitates with his answers, and you never hesitate with your actions. You push yourself to stand up and examine the horizon: a beach with a sea that stretches into infinity. Likely an island. Your eyebrows furrow. “But isn’t this…?”
“No. Not Alola. Nor anywhere else that thou hast visited before.”
Your shoulders slump. You trudge towards the shore until the waves touch your legs with every ebb and flow. The warm water feels delightful, and yet, your blank expression never changes.
“Thou art needed here. Just like every timeline past, there art new people and Pokemon that require thy help. This is thy new mission.”
“Okay.”
The cries of the bird Pokemon go silent. Your head tilts up to see them still circling, but suddenly silent.
You stiffen. “I said okay.”
The wave sounds leave your ears as well. When you look down, you nearly jump back. The flowing waves are now stuck at the edge of the shore… simmering. Like they’re just building up enough power to leap towards you and drag you into the ocean’s depths.
“Arceus?” You nearly yell at the golden light for an answer.
He never hesitates. Why is he hesitating?
“Arceus! Ow–!” Your scar burns again. The pain kicks the air out of your lungs, and evidently, in the sky as well. You watch as bird Pokemon fall to their death with no wind to catch on.
“What’s going on?!” Your mouth screams the words, but no sound comes out.
The golden light blasts your surroundings and burns everything in sight, leaving you for very last.
Aaaand that's the summary! Hi friends, I (a humble 20 y/o Pokemon fan who’s been in love with the series since she was a toddler, and a self proclaimed yandere x reader fanfic pro) am writing this story after being inspired by Legends Arceus. It's still a WIP (because the story depends on what you guys wanna see 👀) so gimmie your feedback and check back for updates! Further info on this AU is below the cut for those who are curious.
What's the deal with (Y/N), and how does this work?
(Y/N) is gender neutral and is referred to in second person. I try to avoid using the term (Y/N) in the actual story though since I know it breaks immersion :P You've traveled timelines since you were a kid, but aged naturally. You are currently in your early to mid 20s.
For the purpose of this story, the different Pokemon games take place in different timelines, because you fill the role of the player character in each one (except for the Kanto and Johto regions because I'm attached to Red and Gold as protagonists. I won't be including other player characters as love interests though). You have often experienced the same timeline, multiple times, at different points in your life-- in the same way that one would replay their favorite game over and over.
There's a lot more to you and your whole timeline-jumping career, but you'll have to read the story to find out what.
Who will be the yandere love interests?
An easier way to answer this is who MIGHT appear... cuz Y/N you were really being a hoe in this AU LOL
Red
Blue
Gold
Silver
Ingo
Emmet
Hau
Lillie
Gladion
Guzma
Hop
Marnie
Bede
Piers
Leon
Raihan
Volo
Adaman
Irida
Kieran
Corbeau
And that's just off the top of my head. These are just ones that I really like, too. I'm taking character requests since I'd like to include a variety from different regions and trainer classes (rivals, champions, villains, etc). Since there's so many people I could include, there's no guarantee on who will make it or not. Some of them will be more like background characters while others will be more important. But who depends on how I'm feeling and the feedback I get from my readers!
Important note: The younger characters will be adults in the story. You would've met them at their original ages when you were first sent to their timeline (while you were the same age as them) and then when you got older, met them over and over again at different points of their lives. You're all adults now.
Content warnings?
Basic yandere content warnings apply to this entire blog. I'll tag chapters if any other triggering topics appear. I'd rather you not interact with this blog if you're not 16+ and I may block you if I feel uncomfortable.
Suggestive topics may be included and smut miiiight appear. In which case, the chapter will be tagged as 18+ only. But it'll probably be rare and won't ever be the main focus of this story.
Any other questions or comments can be sent in asks, DMs, or wherever! I'm always happy to talk!
