Testing the Dokuga fic...
You hurry off once Dokuga rounds the corner to go into work… only you’d gotten so used to your routine you had long-since stopped checking to see if you were being followed.
You head to an ATM a few blocks away, and pull out a good amount of cash using a card you’d swiped from your parents some time ago before you left. You crumple up a few of the bills, rubbing them against the wall a bit before carelessly stuffing them deep into your pockets.
Next you move on to the market vendors, purchasing only items that would be easy enough to steal and things that wouldn’t go bad too quickly.
After that you head to purchase some more cleaning supplies, and toothpaste. You’d previously gotten everyone a brand new toothbrush which they were beyond excited about…
You were hiding in an alleyway stuffing everything into your backpack and discarding your receipts when you noticed a shadow loom over you…
“‘K-Kuga!!”
You exclaim when you look up behind you and see him glaring down at you. He’d been following you around all day and you had no clue.
“Y’know, I fucking hate liars, Y/N.”
Dokuga said as he reached down and lifted you to your feet by the front of your sweatshirt. He pinned you against a wall and pulled out one of his knives.
“‘Kuga wait, please I can explain!”
“Stop fucking calling me That!”
He barked, but he made no move to hurt you as of yet. He was holding back, you’d seen him and the others behead sorcerers easily… he wasn’t even targeting your weak points… why?
“I … I’m sorry I lied, okay? I just … I can explain…”
You stammer as you look up at him.
“Then start talking…”
He demanded as he gave you another shove against the wall.
“I … I was scared, okay? I really was kidnapped from the Hole by En’s guys, I didn’t lie about that part…”
“Why does En want you? What’s your magic?”
He asked.
“It … it’s not that En wants me I …”
You stammer. This was embarrassing to say. Would he even care?
“Out with it…”
He ordered as he pressed the knife to your throat.
“I’m an heiress!”
You choke out finally. Dokuga’s face remains cold as his eyes scan your face for any hints of a lie.
“A what?”
He asked skeptically, as if he couldn’t believe it.
“I have magic, yeah, and I can produce a door. It’s not good for fighting or anything so my parents find me useless but I’m still… technically an heiress.”
You admit as you look at the ground. Dokuga’s eyes widened a little and he took a step back from you.
“My family is really wealthy. Not En wealthy but I’ve known him since I was a baby. I ran away when I was 16 and I’d been hiding out in the Hole ever since. I guess they’ve been hunting me this whole time. They finally found me and dragged me back here… I managed to get away again and … that’s when I ran into you…”
You felt the cold blade of Dokuga’s knife on your chin again as he used it to turn your face to look at him.
“If you were that well-off why run away to begin with?”
Dokuga asked with a scowl, his attitude seeming to come back instantly.
“I… I can’t stand them. My parents…” you begin, “they look down on humans and those born without magic, treating them like dirt. It’s not right. Why do others need to suffer just because they weren’t born with magic?”
You express, your eyes beginning to sting as you try and will yourself not to cry. Dokuga’s expression softens just the slightest bit once more, but he’s still on guard.
“So then what does your magic do?”
He asks curiously. He was still a bit on guard and you didn’t blame him, you were too.
“I … poisons and toxins don’t affect me.”
You say softly. You see a flash of something in Dokuga’s eyes. Curiosity? Suspicion? There was something else there too…
“Really?”
He asked as he tilted his head up a little, staring at you down his nose again as his eyes narrowed. He sheathed his knife once more, but his body language was still tense.
Fuck it.
You move forward a bit to pull Dokuga in. You lean in but he quickly pushes you back and stumbles away from you looking absolutely horrified.
“Are you fucking nuts?! My saliva…”
“Won’t do anything… trust me.”
You interrupt him as you look up at him. He looked you up and down like you were the craziest woman he’s ever seen.
You move to step towards him again, and he leans back, so you stop. He looks down at you and sees the serious expression on your face. He gives you a slight nod and you cup his face in your hands and pull him in for a kiss.
His lips were pressed tight together at first but after some gentle coaxing from yours, he relaxed and parted them slightly. You slipped your tongue in his mouth and pressed it to his.
Overall it was pretty awkward and cumbersome, you had to assume it was his first kiss. When you pull away you notice his hands were slightly shaky.
“You… should be dead…”
He muttered, his eyes low and staring at your lips as if he wanted another kiss.
“I told you… I’m immune.”
You say softly to him. Dokuga was about to say something else when you both heard footsteps so he pulled his knife and stood in front of you, only to relax when it was just the rest of the Cross-Eyes coming around the corner.
