She was still emotionally trying to recover from her miscarriage the year prior, and her marriage with Arthur was strained. News articles from mid-1958 even reported that the couple considered divorcing, according to some of their friends. Professionally, she was considering roles in “Can-Can”, “The Blue Angel”, or “Some Like It Hot.” When she returned to Los Angeles to film Some Like It Hot, she told reporters, “The only thing is, I won’t talk about my marriage, my home life or my past. That doesn’t leave much, does it?”
