The Promised Neverland Ending: felt contrived. Especially with the whole ‘demons giving up human flesh after one motivational speech’ thing. This is the central conflict of the story! like yeah… these creatures who have shown to be pathological human meat consumers (and sadists to boot) will never touch it ever again because a noble and a religious figure told them not to? If Trump and the Pope got on stage and said ‘stop smoking crack!’ would rates drop overnight? It feels kind of insulting honestly, after we just spent upwards of 200 chapters emphasising the unyielding cruelty of it all, and establishing the hundreds of millions of children murdered by this regime and its complacent civilians. This is a serious structural issue that they were not prepared to unpack. Idk. It felt so out of place I’m convinced there was some pressure behind the scenes to wrap it up quickly.

Okok I KNOW the demons in the promised neverland need to consume human flesh to live but whenever it cut to a demon perspective and theyre standing infront of a conveyor full of babies or selling arms in jars or talking about the quality of the merchandise i think damn do you people do ANYTHING ELSE
