“When I let a soul go free.” He sighed. “I shouldn’t have done it so the sacrifice isn’t worth whatever happened next.” Cerby shrugged. “Does it count as a sarcifice?”

“I like my teeth. One person even told me my teeth are the sharpest they have ever seen.” He pointed at his mouth. “It’s so fun to bite people with my teeth.”

Cerberus sighed as he stared down at the shoe laces. This task was impossible. What type of techinque is shoe tying. He really wants to know. Cerby sighed before looking up. 

“I’m trying this one more time!” He stated before he started again. “Two bunny ears before one of them enters a hole.....” He muttered to himself. Soon enough he was tying the laces for both of them. 

The hellhound gasped as he finished the process. Cerby smiled in delight. 

“I did it.” Cerby said with a victoriou smile. “I finally did it!”  He takled the other into a hug. 

“Thank you Ophelia!!”

who wakes the other one up with kisses: Depending on your definition of kisses. Both 

who cooks for who: Wendy does because Cerby should not be near a stove 

who is the morning person/night person:  Both are morning people for different reasons. Wendy does it naturally, Cerby is used to waking up already to guard the underworld

who is the top when it comes to sex:They both take turns because Cerby thinks it fun

who would lead in ballroom dancing:Wendy because Cerby doesn’t know how to 

who is the more cuddly one: Depending on your defintion, Both of them 

who is the one to most likely pick the movie they watch: Cerby lets Wendy choose because Cerby would just watch wrestling 

who is the one who would pay for dates: Wendy but once in a while Cerby tackles the waiter to avoid paying 

Ophelia wrapped her arms around him, rubbing his back as he cried.  “Shh, it’s okay, it’s okay.  He’ll forgive you.”  She didn’t actually know if that was true, but she did know that if it wasn’t true, Cerberus deserved to be treated better.  “You’re going to be okay.”

Ophelia still does not know what happened, but at this point, the trouble seems to be more emotional than logical, so that is all she needs to know.  When she sees Cerberus start crying, she takes a step forward, arms lifting in the beginnings of a hug, but she stops.  Fearful of overstepping, she instead asks first, “Can I hug you?”

Minthe was patiently waiting for an answer when she heard the noise too and spun around to look. “I don’t know… I’m not sure we should interfere though…” She said softly, though curiosity grew within her and she wanted to go and check it out but… well… These events had a way of being… trouble.

Ophelia nodded once, a nod of understanding.  Her relationship with her own father was complicated, to say the least, and she knew just how much it hurt to disappoint your father, even if she did not know the specifics of this particular situation.  “Did anyone get hurt?”  She did not want to pry, and she would not make him tell her anything he did not want to; she only wanted to understand as much of what had happened as she could, so that she would be able to find the best way to comfort him.

“I will absolutely do that.” Minthe nodded, though she wasn’t one to enjoy being drunk, she would leave that to everyone else and watch the fun. Tipsy was fine- but she wanted to recall everything that happened. “Just trying?” She tilted her head to the side curiously. “That doesn’t sound like you’re having too much fun.”

“Crowds can be overwhelming, and this is quite a crowd.”  Ophelia had been attending formal events like this for much of her life, though none quite so beautiful.  Crowds were nothing new to her, but she had found that there was a big difference between feeling alone in one and actually being alone.  The second was much more freeing, and she was much happier here than at the parties she used to attend, but that did not mean she felt at home.  “Yes, of course.  I promise.”  Her voice was soft, gentle, but firm.  Going unseen as often as she had done back home meant she was no stranger to other people’s secrets, but if there was one thing she could never do, it was betray another’s trust, especially not someone she cared about.  Whatever it was that was upsetting him, no one else would hear about it from her.

“I can understand that,” she said.  There were a lot of people here, and while she was mostly just excited to be here, in awe of the beauty of her surroundings, she understood why it might be a bit overwhelming.  If she was honest, she herself was a little bit overwhelmed, underneath her excitement.  Still, the way he denied it made it very clear that it was more than just a need to adjust.  “But are you sure that’s all that it is?”

what  was  this  curious  little  being ?  “  have  you  never  seen  a  goblin,  little  one ? ”  she  asked,  before  she  waved  a  hand ;  little  figurines  of  goblins  appearing  in  a  cloud  of  white  smoke,  dancing  on  the  table  in  front  of  him.  “  most  prefer  to  walk  on  their  fours   —  some  do  walk  upright  but  not  often. ”  she  raised  an  eyebrow  when  he  sat  up,  sending  a  sweet  smile.  “  by  requesting  a  different  song,  of  course. ”

With everyone wearing masks, it was difficult to tell who anyone was, so when she spotted someone without one, and whom she recognized, she headed straight for him, slowing down when she realized how down he looked.  “Hi,” she said, offering him a small, soft smile.  “Are you okay?”
